Title: Fuel Cell & New pump
Post by: god910 on March 26, 2004, 11:46:32 AM
I think I've decided to yank the tank and add a fuel cell and HP pump to sunshine.  There are 3 pumps I have been looking at.
1) Aeromotive A1000 - http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=4345&prmenbr=361
2) Magnaflow's 4750 - http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=MRF%2DMP%2D4750
3) BGI-170041 Fuel Pump Sumo, Street/Race/EFI, 75 psi Max., Up To 750 HP, -10 AN In/Out 4-15 $410.95 (No link for some reason.  It's in the magazine though)  They have a bigger one, it's only like $69 more, and supports upto 2K HP.

For all practicality, I don't know why the sub $300 A1000 wouldn't get the job done w/ ease.  The nice thing about the Magnaflow's is that they have integral filters.  The nice thing about the Sumo's is they can be mounted however I please.

As far as cell's go, it'll probably be a 10-16 gallon Jaz or the like plastic fuel cell w/ foam and sump.  Trunk mounted, should have fun doing it too.
