w00t! w00t! Just bought new wheels! w00t! w00t!
I just bought a set of brand new ADR/RS Limited 17X7" Concept Pro in gunmetal with a polished lip for $416 shipped, off of ebay. That's $30-40 cheaper then if I bought them from a website shipped.
Here's a link to the auction with pictures.

A question for wheel experts. The offset of my stock wheels is 25mm. The aftermarket offset is 43mm. That's an 18mm difference between them. That's roughly 5/8" difference. Will a 1/2" spacer be enough to push them out far enough to where they will be in stock position?
how are they gonna fit, they are 5x114.3 lug pattern, i thought we have 5x115, are you getting wheel adapters? is that what you mean by .5inch spacer?
im hoping your right because i thought 114.3 wouldn't fit our car and was looking into adapters for the 114.3 wheels that i want
5x114.3 will fit our cars, but it won't be an EXACT fit. It's only .7mm difference. Very small difference. You might feel small vibrations at speeds 75mph+.
oh great, thanks for the clarification...good to hear some money saved. those adapters are like 40-60 bucks a wheel.
anything you can do about the vibration or getting a tighter fit?
by the way i bet black wheels on these cars will look amazing. great choice :D also what tires are you getting? adn be sure to post pics ASAP
The only thing would be to retorque the lug nuts after 50miles of daily driving.
I'm thinking 245/45/17 or 235/45/17 z-rated tires. I'm looking at these.

any reason for not choosing
245/[40]/17s speedometer issuses perhaps
remember im pretty newbie so don't take any of this proding as insult
thanks
Why do you think Top fuel cars (and all really fast drag cars) use tall tires? Have you ever watched a funny car launch? The tire wrinkles on itself and allows it to accept a certain level of launch shock. The rim actually spins and the tire stays planted. Try this w/ a small sidewall, it won't happen, and if it did it would shred it. Albeit, it's only 5%, which is 12.75mm, but hey, every bit counts.
I used a tire/speedometer calculator to choose my tire size.
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
With a 245/45/17 size tire, my speedometer will only 0.1% [0.1mph] slower then the car is actually going.
With a 245/40/17 tire, my speedo would read 3.6% [3.2mph] too fast.
Not to mention that my state does not have the best of roads. Pot hole USA.
Hey, don't feel bad. We were all car newbs at one time. The most important thing about learning about cars, you have to read and learn as much information as you possibly can. Knowledge is power. 8)
AMEN, brother AMEN. As ashamed as I am to admit it, I too was a noob once.  J/K, but if you don't ask you won't know. And trust me there are far too many people running around that think they know what they're talking about and are actually jackass stupid shithead retard bastards (Your's truly). So, yeah, don't be that guy, ask all the questions you need.
hey thanks for takin it easy on me guys, greatly apreciated.
Like me, I don't just stick to this board. I visit many different car boards to learn many different technical, appearance, and performance information I can. I often visit ClubGP.com, V6Z24.com, ProbeTalk.com, NewEclipse.org, ClubRSX.com, BerettaStuff.net, Honda-Acura.net and so on. 8)
Any pics of those wheels on the car?
I haven't received the wheels yet, and I still have to buy tires. :(
ha.. someone else who uses the word w00t... no one i've talked to lately had any idea what that means...
Those wheels are gonna look HOTT! You better get some pics when they go on!
I play counterstrike alot. Gaming terms=1337ness. 8)
I would like to see how the car looks with the new wheels, post some pics later. I am also considering changing wheels so I do not risk damaging the hard to find OEM's.
I just got my wheels today. They look pimp. Now I just need tire, valve stems, and lugnuts
