Title: Injector replacement
Post by: god910 on March 26, 2004, 09:12:51 PM
Well, I'm done w/ the injector replacement.  I went to the part store and got a lot of stuff I need for the new TGP.  I got a fantastic heater hose (application is unknown, but I have the part number from advance auto parts) for the T/B bypass hose.  I will have pics later of the hose and part number.  I am going to go drive it right now.  Wish me luck.

Yeah, I love you guys too.  Well, funny story actually, I went to start it and I couldn't get it started.  I grabbed my timing light to see if I was getting spark.  Well I wasn't, that's messed up, I had it last time.  So I thought, bullshit, I've got spark.  So I checked again, battery getting ready to die, me w/o a charger, and the car is in the garage.  I'd have to push it out to get a jump.  This time there was spark, I probably had rusty bad contact for the light.  Still no start.  Then I remember, "Oh SHIT, when I had the T/B apart, I cleaned the IAC and the spring was messed up."  In fixing it, I must have mis-adjusted it.  So the computer is still using it's IAC count from last time.  STUPIDASS.  Pulled the neg. terminal, played some Hitman Code 47, came back hooked it back up, and VROOOOOOM.  It had a decent miss to it, but spark was strong on all cylinders so I guess there was a buildup on an injector or something  (Friggin Junkyard injectors   ), because after a short drive, it worked itself out.  Now I can finally clean this darn thing and get some pics up for all to see, the NEW TGP!!!!

The "bypass hose" part # through autozone is S-3009 ...made by Kelly Springfield....it's listed as "cut to fit" on autozones website, I trim a little off of it and it works great.  It's ~$3.00
