Guys i just did a tune up w/ plugs and wire went w/ stock ac delco but i thinkt he dumb mother fuckers gave me the wrong plugs they call for..R42LTS right? i think they gave me r44lts how bad is that? im gonna check the boxes tom. being that im tired and just got off work.
The proper plugs are the R42's I have used the stock plugs and original spec wires and the car performs flawlessly. Have fun
R44 will be too hot, take them back or you may be asking them for some pistons as well. (assuming Delco is NOT backwards, higher=hotter) Yes, R42LTS is right, and 7mm AC Delco are as good as it gets. They probably didn't believe you had a turbo.
Ok i found the # of the wrong plugs that the dumb fucks at R & S strauss gave me 2months ago when i bought them r44ltsm let me know if these will work also before i go raise hell..these fucks are always messin up
NO, that is equivilent to a Rapid Fire #6 which is TOO HOT. They gave you the plugs for a n/a 3.1 Like I said, the probably thought you don't really have a turbo, or don't care.

Or they are like most dumbass autoparts workers that when you say 3.1L turbo, they hear 3.1L and pick that one. Thats why when I got to autozone I always watch the screen and when they ask which engine I say 3.1L Turbo and point to it on the screen and say "that one." And I yell at them if they pick the wrong thing...its kinda funny when they are getting yelled at by a 120lb. 16 year old....it really makes them look stupid when a scrawny teenager is yelling at them.

Went to gm dealer & gave me 2 choices stock r42's and then plat's both acdelco..is it ok to use the plats?
NOOOOOO, buy R42LTS and NOTHING ELSE. I run them in my (soon to be) 14 sec. auto and ~13 sec manual. They work, trust me. You don't need anything else, def. not platinums. Iridiums, sure, but NO platinums. They are not a perf. plug, they only allow you to not have to change your plugs at short intervals. (Which after what I just went through, I wouldn't mind changing them twice a year.)
Any other input from others to use stockers?
