I've started noticing a slight whistle when the throtle changes. If I give it gas it whistles and if i let off, it sounds kind of like a BOV but it is really slow, like almost just the sound of the turbo just taking its time to slow down. The sound seems to be coming from the area of the Throttle body but i'm not 100% because it doesn't sound the same when I'm parked as when i'm driving. I think maybe that little sleeve between the intake pipe and the TB may be cracked or have a whole or something. Does anyone know a specific part number for that or happen to know the diameter i would need to get a generic piece to fit it?
just another thought i had tonight, is there a gasket between the TB and the Plenum? Maybe its got a bad seal?
yes there is a tb gasket, b0u0t0 00 I don't know about your problem sorry
The hose is 3'' ID. And the whistle could be anywhere from the turbo outlet on. Does slound like you are describing an inlet leak.

can anyone think of a good way to tell for sure where the leak would be coming from? also, anyone have a part number for the TB gasket?
Best thing to do is tighten the hell out of all your hose fittings. At an idle you could use carb cleaner or brake cleaner and spray the connections noticing any chang in idle or you could use soap, but you would have to get some boost, brake and gas at the same time. )torque it up) You can do your whole intake system this way.
If your throtle body gasket was leaking it would have an erratic idle mostly fast.

well, ithink i figured out what the problem was. I bought the gasket b/c it was only like 1.99 or something. WHen I took the intake pipe off from the TB, that piece of tubing that connects the two was all kinds of twisted and folded on the TB side. I took the TB off and put the new gasket in anyway but I think it was just that piece of tubing that was not sealing properly. Easy enough fix. :)
