As some of you probably already know, I went 14.968 in my TSTE with only a K&N filter, no cat, magnaflow mufflers, and the AC Condensor mod. I was thinking of going back to the track and trying for a 14.80 or better. (not a 14.899 or better, a 14.800 or better) Since I ran it two weeks ago I have re-installed one of my modified boost controllers, and it raised the boost ~1psi over stock. It now peaks at right around 8.5psi and builds boost faster off the line. The problem I had before was the car didn't have enough power to spin the tires off the line. This is good because it makes it grip better, but bad because my launch was limiting how fast I could go.
So, I am wondering if you guys think it is realistic for me to see a 14.80 or better with the stock chip??? My 60' that I got for the 14.968 run was a 2.094. If I can pull a 1.99, that right there should put me down to a 14.868, and then I think the 1psi boost, if it isn't causing the computer to pull too much timing (I'm thinking of maybe running like 97 octane gas or something??), should get me the extra .068 that I'm looking for. Do you think its realistic or possible? I am thinking the faster I can get it without modding it more (meaning the better I can learn to drive it), the more chance I have of hitting 13's with just a few more mods. I am going to the track on Wednesday to see, I just hope it is at least as cold as it was before (it was ~60 before). I didn't think the car was this capable with the stock chip at first, but now I am thinking this car could move pretty good!

Man, I just want to hit 14's. I don't honestly know if the car is capable of running a 1.99 60ft. Anyone w/ a low 14 high 13 slip want to post your 60' time? Not saying it's not possible, would just like to see it.

With the boost controller leaking vacuum like it is, it should allow the turbo to spool quick enough to pull that kind of 60 foot because it reduces the programmed turbo lag in the stock chip. I pulled a best of a 2.089 60' on the stock chip with the stock boost controller, and that was not knowing why the computer pulled timing (I thought it was rev related, apparently it is dependant on length of time brake torquing it). Now that I know that I can brake torque to like 2800 for a very short period of time and that alone should get a good 60', but then not having as much computer controlled turbo lag SHOULD give me the power for that 60'. With the amount of difference that boost controller makes on the street, I don't know how it couldn't improve the 60' that much. I am just worried about my tires being able to stick, not the car making the power.
I am pretty sure I should be able to pull of a 1.99 60', I am just worried about the tires sticking, the tranny not breaking, and the car having the power to pull off a 14.80 or better. I just don't know if the car will have enough power once I do pull off the 1.99 60'. I have to remember everything I figured out helped last time too, that will be tough.
Oh well, I guess I will see what happens.
I still want to know if any of you think it is possible. Not just the 14.80, but the 60' time too, because I'm pretty sure it can pull that kind of 60', but not positive. Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks,
Shawn
