Title: Bigger front brakes
Post by: tyroelite on April 19, 2004, 12:16:48 PM
Has anyone done the front brake upgrade to the 11.25" rotors?  I need to change a ball joint and the brakes are having problems too so i figure why not do it all at once and get it over with. Just wondering if anyone has had any problems doing it or if its even been done on a TGP.

What about the emergency brake compatibility issue?  Anyone find a solution to that?

Emergency brake, uh yeah, long time ago. But no one likes my solution. Others have reused the existing cables, but its not super nice looking IMO.

i'll be using your solution by using '94+ e-brake cables, but i'll try not to use the '94+ lever :)  unless i absolutely have to...

some people have posted pics of using '88-'93 e-brake cables with the '94+ rear brakes, but yeah - it doesn't look good IMO....one side looks OK but the other side looks like it was stretched too much and would break within a weak...errr....i mean 'week' :)
