Hey all. I just got my new TGP a few weeks ago, and I've been working on putting it back together and getting it up and running. I got this car from Richard Dunn in San Jose back in December when he posted it for sale on this site. When I got it from him the turbo, x-over, PMIII and all of the electrical contacts were dismantled. I've slowly been cleaning it and putting it back together, hoping to have it running on Monday.
So my question is with the just under half tank of gas that has been sitting for for 3+ yrs. Should I drop the tank and have it cleaned? My estimate is that there is 4-7 gallons in the tank, so if I top off the tank with 93 octane and some fuel stabilzer would I be safe to run it? Any input is appreciated on this, hopefully I can get it running on Monday and I will post some pics and possibly some clips with my new digi cam. Thanks again.
Drain it and clean it. Might save you a headache down the road.
