I got mostly figured out with the removal of the old one however, it won't come free... should it slide out sideways or kind of rock? Also, the front bolt won't come all the way out! It moves around like it should but I keep turning and it just stays there. I would assume that when it is out it will come completely out of the starter and fall to the ground? Any further help is appreciated....
Wiggle the starter around or turn it a little and the bolt should come out.
To get the starter out you may need to pull the oil filter to give you clearance. Pull it straight back and move it around.
Well.... I got the old one out of my parts car finally but after looking at the TGP it didn't look like it was going to be so easy... coolant lines and oil lines and such seem to be more in the way. So I gave up on replacing the whole starter and just cleaned the wires and such and now it starts again right away.... hope it stays that way.
The starter in the TGP is teh easiest starter I have ever changed. These things are gravy!
