Title: BF Goodrich g-force T/A's
Post by: mongoose on July 12, 2004, 08:31:45 AM
Just got a set of these mounted on my TGP and they are sweet! I don't have a g-force gauge but I'm pretty sure that I am cornering harder and tighter than before (before was a set of Z rated BF Goodrich TA radials). Ahhh the gooody-goody of new rubber :)

I just looked at tirerack.com and since he didn't specify which ones (KDWS, KDW, etc.) I can only speculate, but all of them looked pretty inexpensive to me.  I (after much trouble) put a set of Nitto 555R Drag Radials on Sunshine for it's last dance, and paid $305 for them.  That is COST!!  I got cost because I got jerked around.  So the T/A prices that I saw were pretty reasonable.  Had I had to pay full price it would have been ~$375 for the pair.  But WELL worth it.

Those are the street tires though aren't they? Jay's are drag radials.

Yeah, the Extreme's are not drags.  The 555R is the big dogg.  The price has been going up alot lately, and it varies greatly by where you go.  Big O tires wanted like $225 each for them.

I didn't spend a whole lot on 'em - $428 for the set, balanced, installed and out the door.

Check my sig.  The tires I have come stock on the new GTO.  I love them, they stick very good.

I paid $99 each, but I think they list for like 150-170.  They are expensive because they are 18's.  I got a hook up.

I'm using Hankook Ventus II and they are  great tires with a long warrantee, amazing adhesion on wet pavemet (perhaps due to the center groove) and quiet. They are also not expensive.
