Title: Flushing tha intercooler...
Post by: TGPrix. on July 21, 2004, 05:13:02 PM
YEAH!, How would I go on flushing tha intercooler.
I heard you could use radiator flush, which I got.
I just don't know how I would go on doing so.
Would I have to pull it out?

Yeah, you'd probably have to pull it out.  Shouldn't be too bad.  I've heard paint thinner works too.

The intercooler can be done with paint thinner and some have said gasoline. All you are trying to do with the intercooler is get the coating (or puddle) of oil out of it. Ensure that you rinse the hell out of it so you do not ingest anything but air into the motor. Best thing to do is remove the intercooler and dunk it in paint thinner. 8)
