use just the air box, and use your own custom piping and face it upward under the louvers on hood??? think it would work...if that makes sense
mabey even make a little gasket thing to seal it when the hood is closed to add some ram air effect??
worth a try?? :D
If I ever get another TGP I will build an airbox that takes the place of the battery box and washer reservoir. Then customize the hood vent and make it with a half forward facing scoop (about 1.5-2" tall) and then a rear deflecting vent for heat evacuation. When the hood closes it will seal the top of the air box and wah-lah...a pressurized CAI... 8)
yeah i was thinkin about something like that too... do u think this air box would get the job done and fit under there??
Get a no-name version from ebay if you want to try it.
You can fab one up out of cardboard and take it to a fiberglass molder or better yet CARBON FIBER!! Make it large enough in the corner and ad a lip inside to use a drop in rectangle K&N. I was looking into doing something like that with Twalt's car when I was doing the head work...but by the time the machine shop got the heads back to me...he needed his car back... 8)
