Title: fs 90 TGP
Post by: 95GTP on September 13, 2004, 10:24:23 AM
Last time I list this, price is down to $1500. That breaks me even with what I have in it. It has to go, I hate to part with it, I have done so much to it.

If you want a TGP email me, I will sent pics and info

Its in Maine, I may deliver somewhere in New England.

The cardomain link is not up to date but close....

I've seen the car in person and it looks nice.  Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, There are a couple guys interested in it on the w-body boards.  I would like to sell it to someone willing to keep up the work in restoring it.

Hey guys, its still available. Some guy might want it if he can sell his ford truck, he said he needs a family car and plans on mounting a baby seat in the rear.

I want to sell it to a motorhead, I dont want baby sh1t in it.
I did to much work for it to end like this..

Someone help a brother out, I mean a TGP out....(CRYING)

It has 163k miles. I drive it every day and love it.

Red with tan leather seats, Interior is in good shape for the age, headliner is not falling, and seats are not torn. All interior stuff works like HUD, DIC, all seat functions. Radio is from a Cutlass, am/fm cassette, the steering wheel controls work. Has an aftermarket sunroof and it doesn?t leak. The wheels are painted, the gold cross lace are now black cross lace like the GTA wheels, it really looks a lot better than the gold IMO. The wheels do have some scrapes and dents, they are not perfect. The car is inspected till Jan 05, I drove it last winter and had no problems with it starting in the cold. Heat works, defogger works, blower works although I wish the fan blew harder. Power windows, seats, locks, tilt, cruise control, etc. Turbo spools up fine with no play, I have never took the heat wrap off the crossover pipe, I have no problems with the car running or smoking so I saw no need to look at it. I don?t suspect it to be cracked.

The stuff I did to it:

Coils, plugs, wires
Intake, throttle, etc gaskets
Distributor o ring
Transmission fluid and filter, fuel filter, other filters
Brake pads all around
New rear caliper
New GM brake accumulator
Repaired the gage cluster so the ?check gages? and ?low fuel? lights are not on
Replaced the drivers information display, the old one didn?t store stuff into memory
Repainted all the stuff someone really screwed up, stuff was painted orange and gold, its all back to black as it should be
Detailed engine and interior
New rear speakers
Replaced radio so steering wheel controls work, it had a real crappy aftermarket one
Replaced power antenna
Two new mufflers
New water pump and thermostat
New o2 sensor

Now the stuff it needs:

It could use new tires but the ones on it passed the last inspection.

The ?antilock? light comes on, I really suspect the front wheel sensors, this does not effect the operation of the brakes, I let my daughter drive it like that. I love her and would not let her drive something unsafe.

The fuel level gage isn?t accurate, I replaced the sending unit with a used one and it didn?t fix it, It changed the way it works somewhat but its not accurate, I fill up by tracking miles. 24 MPG by the way.

The driver?s window sticks, you have to push or pull it to open or close, probably the regulator.

It has dents and scratches, nothing major, it is 14 years old. The front bumper was hit in a parking lot and has a 6 inch crack in it below the lights, missing the lower front valance, it came to me that way. No body rust, there is some under the car but nothing unusual for Maine that I can see.

Air-conditioning didn?t work and I didn?t even try to see what was wrong with it

Trip odometer doesn?t work I have parts to fix it but no time

How the car came to me. Well I saw it sitting in a driveway and recognized it was a TGP (I also have a GTP). It happened to belong to my daughter?s friend, it was sitting for quite some time and I asked if he would sell it. He is 16 and didn?t want the car, his dad bought it for him but he didn?t have the interest or money to put into it. So I bought it from him, it sat for 3 months in my drive way till I got the title, It was officially mine now.
It hardly ran when I got it, the brakes were inoperative and just had a lot of stuff to fix. I spent a lot of time and $$$ to get it road worthy, and to pass strict Maine inspections.
I spent a lot of time online finding out about the car and how to fix the stuff, buying parts here and there and doing what I could to get it back to original condition. It still needs some attention but I feel I saved it from being parted out.
Personal problems force me to sell it, I have a few cars and must liquidate so I can finance a place to live and a divorce.

I live in Lisbon Falls, Maine which is about 30 miles north of Portland. I can deliver the car a reasonable distance or meet you half way.

Anything else you can call me at 207-353-8104
