Title: Owner's Manual
Post by: RareGMFan on October 03, 2004, 10:41:56 PM
Well, the one in my TSTE was missing.  I just wanted to know if all the STEs got the same one, or if the turbos got a specific version.  I only ask because, untill I owned one, I didn't realize in '89, and '89 only, the 6000 STE got its own manual, different then what the other 6000 models got.  I figured I'd make sure before I pick up an owner's manual for the TSTE off eBay.

I believe all GP's got the same manual, but the STE turbo has it's own supplement.

Yes, the owners manual is the same between all of the '90's, but the TSTE got a supplemental manual with a different maintenance schedule, and a bunch of information on the turbo, and taking car of it, etc.....  I went through mine once, it actually has some pretty interesting stuff in it.  I don't believe the TGP coupes got a supplement though...

Ok, so they did the same thing with the TSTEs as they did with the TGPs:  Regular manual, with turbo supplement.  Do the TSTEs and TGPs share the same supplement, though?

The supplements say the same things in them though, right?

We are speaking about the owners manuals...not service manuals. The service manuals will be relatively the same word for word. The OWNERS manual suppliments will show the differences in TGP or STE options. The DIC's are different, Stereo systems, Seat Belts, etc. and how to operate them... 8)
