Im wanting a Boost Gauge in my CS when i get everything running....I know the TGP's had a "boost" gauge but im kinda looking for one thats a bit more accurate. :wink:
any one who knows the interior of a 1988-1994 CS knows locations to put gauges are few and far between.....
and to get it out of the way NOW!!!! IM TOTALLY AGAINST "A" Pilar Pods!!
so i have the UB3 Digital Dash, ECC, DIC and HUD all with have that teal colour display.....
so i figured i hit it big with this!!!

That would look nice mounted in a pod mounted to the HUD on the dash. Still in view but not on the pillar. Good find.

I know the looks of the CS Cutty, only one that had that sporty round back window etc, sharp looking ride, almost got one once 8) AND the Teal of that gauge would match up nice to the rest of the interior displays!

Your correct to expensive, 3 or 4 of thoese would be worth more than the car. :roll: 310 for boost/fuel pressure. :cry: I'll just leave my list alone and suffer with autometer gauges.

I think the digital gauges look awesome..
personally, in a Cutlass, I would take any gauges out of their original housing and mount them into the faceplate of the ashtray.. would work really well for digitals because the display won't be huge and you'd have plenty of space to mount a few and keep it looking clean.

Jud, 3 to 4 dual gauges would be 6 to 8 items you are monitoring, I think you are getting too personal with your car and it might get offended :lol:

Well i have the spot on the left of the Cluster where there is that square section that only has a lit up fog lamp switch.... :roll:
one gauge would fit there and i was also thinking the ashtray location... :wink:
and i agree i would take the round Bezel off and try to fab it up in to one of those sections and just leave a little square opening window for the info being shown...

Aaaahh, I knew if I did not give more info fast enough, reactions would happen first :lol: The features in these SPA gauges are vast and more than in a Greddy, Defi, etc and other such highly accurate quality gauges at this level. Now consider you have 2 gauges/displays in one (and that useful handling of pod real-estate); Dual Color, Adjustable Brightness, stores max/min values and can be set to alert/activate a relay when a Max or Min value is reached (too high a boost or coolant/tranny etc temp, too low a fuel pressure or oil pressure etc, OR, use these max/mins-relay to activate something like a secondary fuel pump or injector, or intercooler spray, or keep thinking and come up with your own ideas!), Centigrade or Fahrenheit, Pressure Display (Bar, CM2 or PSI), Low Battery Warning, Instant or Averaging display value (sampling at .1 second to 25 seconds), works with Thermistor, RTD, K-Type Thermocouples, their pressure sensor good for up to 16 Bar or 200 Bar, Adjustable resolution down to .1 with accuracy (most are analog and read only notches :lol: especially EGT), other features but at this point more features than other gauge out there, for any price.
So for an example on one SPA Gauge; a highly accurate boost gauge that reads to 232 psi (no need to be limited in picking from a 20 or 25 or 30 psi gauge, and 2,900 psi for you jokers laughing at your competition...NOS you sillies :lol: ) with all the above features, and fuel pressure with the same ranges with all the same features for $310. Divide by 2 and that is $155 each side, and I just checked, a Greddy Boost Gauge with Peak Hold and Alarm features (that?s it for features), lists for $240, their Fuel Pressure lists for $290. If we add the Greddy Retail of $240 for Boost and $290 for Fuel Pressure we get $530 and need 2 gauge pods, verses $310 retail for the Dual SPA Gauge with more features and better accuracy (in a digital display that shows this, no analog notches to squint your eyes at :lol: ). Its by far a better deal when comparing it this way, the dollars do add up but most just need Boost and Fuel Pressure, I heard that SPA is working on Wide-Band and Boost so that would be a slick piece!!
Will other digital gauges serve the bill as well for others, sure as hell. But the SPA Gauges do offer a lot of useful and powerful features in a quality gauge!
So if the cool teal blue Dakotas are less than $310 for Boost and Fuel Pressure, it?s a total steal :shock: :headbang: :D

Get the fuel pressure gauge you will need it when you start tuning. The air/fuel I have found to be usless when on the threshold of detonating, (I always seem to be there trying to get the last drop of power) although it is entertaning at a long stop light. :lol:
I have air/fuel, boost and pressure now and the A/F is going when I get the new gauge. Guess I'll have to turn the radio up. :)
I thought quite a bit between digital and physical gauges and just decided to go physical mainly because of the direct readings, cost and elimination of a sender. One gauge would be nice but there is room for two cups on the stering column and still be able to see the tach.
I picked up a autometer fuel pressure and isolator for cheap off ebay so all I realy need is the boost and another cup. I'll have 125 wrapped up in the two gauges. :)
