I'm here. A lot of life changes in the last year and a half. Not so much time for online anymore, or vast troubleshooting knowledge. I work a lot for career, work a lot on house, and work a lot in the garage on EVERYONES car. My brother still has my original TGP (in banner pic above) with a different motor but is still plagued with tranny problems. Now that I have gotten rid of several long term patients at the Chris Car Hospital, I will probably learn to rebuild a transmission since no one else can do it right around here (being baltimore). I have a nice toy in the garage, and a different domain name because turbograndprixgarage was TOO long and too specific. I'm probalby going to expand to other things on the site, eh eventually.

Thanks for thinking of me!

Chris.

Good to see ya' back around here Chris, awesome "toy!"  When you start on that transaxle, you'll find that it's fairly straight-forward and actually easier then most people let on.  I've rebuilt two RWD Volvo transmissions so far on my own and a toyota one at school while I was learning(along with taking apart a FWD automatic transaxle out of a late model Grand Am).  The toyota transmission and one of the Volvo ones worked without issues. I'll be putting the other Volvo transmission in my turbo 740 soon so hopefully I can say the same for it. 8)

Good to see someone come back from the dark.  8)

Those fuel injectors you sold me are still kicking..maybe they liked me better    .

As far as our trannys go..they just need new hard parts. Accumulators, valves..ect $$$. The rest is standard issue. Might want to talk to jeff about clutches. I don't know if he got deals with bands..but Raybestos Power bands are suppose to be great. Im deep into a tranny built myself. Though im starting with my 3t40..then graduate to the 4t60    .
