Title: TGP at local dealer...sorta rough shape...
Post by: dbtk2 on February 02, 2005, 07:58:18 PM
So I was riding down the road with my friend because we were dropping off someone where they work at Taco Bell.  And we drive past this dealer, while we are passing I notice a red GP with Gold crosslaces so I take a second look and see the turbo badge on the passenger door.  Well, it was in the middle of the lot with other cars around it so I couldn't see it very well.  We dropped the kid off at Taco Bell and I asked my friend to drive back to the dealer for a minute.

So we get there, and I look at the car.  Immediately I notice the drivers front wheel is a silver crosslace, the rest were all gold though.  The front air dam is gone.  The hood is the wrong hood (it has the shorter vents in it), and the front facia has some paint starting to chip off of it.  It has ~162k on it IIRC, and it has tan leather in okay shape, the drivers seat has a tear on the back and the rear seat on the drivers side has a little tear.  No CD or Moonroof.  The rear of the car has obviously been hit, the turbo badge is missing, and it is dented on the panel underneath the trunklid (the panel the turbo badge belongs on) and I believe the bumper was dented as well.  Also, I think it had numerous door dings in it as well.  I will stop by on friday when I work (since this dealer is 1/8 mile from my work) and get some more pics of it and try to see if I can get a price.  I can't see how they could want more than $1k for it.  It does need quite a bit of work.  I don't have any clue how well the car runs or anything like that, and what kind of brake work it needs, but I will try to see if I can get a test drive in as well.

Anyways, if anyone is looking for a fixer upper TGP in MI, this might be one to look at.
