DON'T DO IT!!! Don't get the lame 27 watt fog light marker bulbs, gets some wattage in there to do some good and adjust the fog lights down so they light up the road from just off your view of the road from inside the car out to where the head lights pick up, when done proper its an excellent compliment.

USE A 50 WATT 885 Bulb instead!!!

So if you're recommending it Jeff I'm assuming there are no issues with the extra heat or the stock wiring not being sufficient to handle the extra power?

Of course, only 23 watts more  , even ran 100watts for a time, far from melting wires or plastic!  Vast improvment and the fogs are very well focused long as you adjust them properly!

I've been running 55 watters in mine for a loong time now, and had no adverse effects. Aim them properly and you'll enjoy the extra light they put out.

Fricking emocons are asleep so will just say Luke, that blows me away (bows humbly!!).

The 100 watts I ran were to test the limits, and the lens did get pretty warm, almost hot but no melting or such problems, 50 or 55 watts are perfect, I hacked some PIAA Super White H3 and added them to the 881 and made my own.

Again, very nice info Luke!!! 8)

Luke, thanks for the pictures, those are great!  So what is the part number for the lights you used that were 55 watt?

I can't remember the number off hand.. They were Sylvania's from Wal-mart, and they look exactly like the stock 27 watt bulbs, but they are labeled 55 watt instead.

Uhhh, what?s all that dude   :D    I was just wondering, you quoted me but did not say "I agree too" or "I agree with Jeff" or something to that effect so it was confusing for me and just seemed funny    8) .  And its always good to ask in case someone misinterprets something, that was all I was asking :P ....as mods we know how easy it is for people to go off which makes our jobs fun, though I have more fun as a mod on the other side with all those kids

Easy man, no arm wrestling today, you just got to read more happy in my words :D , I will try more emocons  :D  :D  though the window for "More Emocons" is kinda broke  can you fix that?

No more fighting (arm wrestling, pissing contests, etc! ) from me to you. I have put in a request to the management (Waskie) about the emoticons. My Admin abilities are getting added here pretty soon. Waskie is just now settling in his new house.

Everything is cool with me Jeff...  8)

All sounds good, I was far from anything like that so we can all relax but if you recall on the other forum, guys would love to fuel us, far more Hits/Views and interests on our Topics than any other Topic    8)  those were the good old days for them, now us old guys/Mods have to behave and keep those others in line :P ain't that a twist

While I was getting my new bulb to fix my turn signal problem I figured I might as well do as suggested with the fog lights.  I ended up getting 50 watt Sylvania bulbs (they didn't have the 55 watt bulbs).  Nice change!  I definitely notice the difference.  Thanks for the suggestion guys!

Should have been that way from the factory, I mean those 50 watt bulbs are for the fog lights of other cars too    Now just adjust them!!!!....and I say that since my first experience back in 1990 was being blinded by a new GP SE with their fogs, which are aimed too high from the factory (and the headlights are way too far to the right!!) and need to be brought down to compliment from just over the hood out to the area the headlights pick up at, then its all pretty amazing, I even have local owners I know that just drive with their fogs, since our big city has so many brightly lit road lights 8)
