I have been doing a lot of research in the last year on our trannys and have come up with quite a few parts that will allow us to abuse them with out (possibly )failing. Clutches, bands. sprag units, roller clutches with more excentrix and wider to grab better. Stiffer springs in different places, biger clutch drums to hold more clutches and so on.
What I need is the info off the tags on the tranny. All would be helpful but the main thing is the model #. I can use all the input I can get as 1989 and 1990 seem to have different parts. Don't know exactly what yet but with your help I'll find out. i have a couple of pretty good contacts that are helping me throu this.
Yea I know you have to get under your car with a rag and a flashlight. But I'll share what I come up with.
Here is the location and the tag. If you can fill in the blanks I would appreciat it. Belevie me, what I can find out won't be a secret.

If your tranny has been rebuilt your tag may be blank do to the info is silkscrened on and after hot tanking the case its wiped out. Thanks GM. :evil:
