Title: Will someone please make me a chip!!!!!!
Post by: TurboKid on May 01, 2005, 12:03:31 PM
Hey everyone,
I'm new to the TGPForums, feels like I graduated from V6Z24 (still an awesome site).   I have a 91 sunbird GT, 5-speed with a 90' LG5 motor in her.  I just graduated from school and finally got back home to finish her.  It runs awesome and sounds super sweet (I love the BOV)  I rewired my stock harness to accept the TGP ECM.  I have a TopGun chip from Jeff, But I need a 5-speed chip.  I have a programmer and tried to burn my own, but..............I have no idea what I'm doing and have no more patience!!

So, can someone please, please make me a chip.  I'm putting insurance back on next week, and I can't wait to drive it.  I'm sure you guys can't wait to see it either.............

I have no idea how its gonna go, as long as my buddy with his SHO, quivers in his shorts, I'm happy. LOL

I dunno if Dave got you or not, but if you send me the .bin you want to burn I can do it for you, you can come pick up your chip or whatever.  My programmer works flawless.  I have been running that type of chip for a while, my car has yet to see boost, but it still runs fine on the 2 bar map for now.  Till I get the blower back on there...

Haha, you 2 are both "graduated" lol, I am pretty active over there, guess I am still a young punk.

Lemme know if you need a burn.

See you around.

From Sudbury as well.

Easy to get it to work man.  I just asked the factory to set up my jumpers for me, and it worked perfect.  using AT29C265 FLASH eeprom.  I have a hi-res pic of all my jumper settingss if you want it, but you more than likely wont need it.

I have 4 chips here and they all program and run the car, I also have 2 socketed memcals that I made up, they work great too. Tuning the GMECM is great!   8)

Hey Dave, you have a WBo2 datalogger  ?  I am in the market  (hell I would even rent one for a week...)  If you know someone around town...

Later.

56K hit your "back" button...

Hell, Might as well just post it here, in case anyone wants to use this information.  More and more people are burning their own chips these days.
