Well i have my Mastach ALDL Cable (had it for a while now) I can't seem to get the thing to work properly.....or at all
I have the free version of Datamaster for the 3.1 LG5 Turbo and i can't seem to pass the ALDL Test Process or get pluged into the cars ALDL port.
is there any special process or series of processes that i need to do??
I almost have the Turbo Cutlass Running and i wanna use this for Trouble codes and do some data logging to see if my Chip maker is any good
any help on this is welcome
FWIW Im running this on a HP Laptop with XP home 2.0 Celeron 704 megs ram
thanks
Dave
I'm not real familiar with the mastach - but the pinouts on the diagnostic port do vary between gm cars - I noticed this when I got my scantool
may be a place to start looking
well i have a 12 pin ALDL connector on the car with the OBD1 pin locations.
Mastach gave me a instruction sheet on where the pins go on the connector and im confident i have them in the proper spots.
as soon as i plug the red one in the ALDL car plug i read Failed Failed Failed on the Datamaster ALDL Test Program.....
puzzling :?
The trial version of that program will ony work for a couple tries then it locks up correct?
Try out : EFILive V4 Eval edition first, get it working then use your free trials for datamaster.

I had mine working OK (logging to the laptop) BUT I had to return my laptop to my school cause I graduated (it was a rental)... :? This was while running th 5 spd. TGP chip.
ya Datamaster has 20 runs and then its no good (gotta $$$)
God910 on this forum got his to work and gave me the steps in getting the cable to work with datamaster
still gotta try again when i get the wiring all done (right this time)
i will give that link a try
thanks :D
and what the hell is a "Rotrex CSC " :? I know its a S/C but just an after market company or was it off another car...?
LOL, the first "C" stands for "Centrifugal"... and you know the rest. It's just a basic supercharger head unit, I got it brand new, and it got here defective, so I had to return it, it's almost on it's way back now. I bought the MIG pak 10 and made my own charge pipe and junk. custom Johnyracecar intercooler, Greddy Type S BOV... I just basically made my own "kit" and I hope it comes together like I expect it to.
I will have to show you it, pretty sharp little blower. In time... Weather sure is coming around finally.
got ya....
your hardcore man.......thats going to be sweet
Mine worked fine although I did have to release the com ports(delete) that were used by something else. With the cable hooked up Windows picked it up on boot firt try.
That computer fried so now I have to try using a USB port, no DB9 plug on the new stuff. Got the adapter yesterday so I guess I'll give it a shot today.
Good luck :)
