I would reccomend getting a parts car if possable.....

i swapped in a 3.1 Turbo TGP engine in my 1992 Cutlass and its much easier if you have a donor car....

but if you are looking for a engine only try www.car-part.com and search 1989 or 1990 pontiac grand prix and select engine.

im not sure where your located but its nation wide so maybe you can find something close to you.

eastwestautoparts.com in Tulsa, OK.  Phone is listed on their website.  Best way to get a good answer is talking to Ken.  He has helped me with a transmission and front bumper before.  Last time I talked to him was July and he had a car with a good title in the yard.  I believe it is a mail- order only place.  Will ship anywhere in US.  LOOK THIS GUY UP,  HE MAY HAVE THE WHOLE ENGINE/TURBO SETUP WTIH A TRANSMISSION.  TALK HIM DOWN IF HE QUOTES YOU A RIDICULOUS PRICE, THE CAR HAS BEEN THERE SINCE FEBRUARY I BELIEVE.

Im looking for an engine complete with turbo set up, I defenitely agree an entire parts car would be my best option but its hard to find one.  I was recenetely visiting my grandparents in Nanty Glo PA when one of my dads old buddies came up to vist.  I struck up a conversation with my dads buddy.  he then started talking about two grand prixs that he had back at the house. as soon as he said i have an 89 and 90 grad prix with a 3.1 Iliter I immedately said " turbo charged engine"  thats right.  I couldnt believe it. im hunting for a whole car and heres this old man with two, sitting  there. not being driven.  I drove back to his house with him, hes walking around the car telling me all the options it has and showing me the interior, lol im like I dont care, pop the hood so I can cream in my pants!! refuses to sell, bummer. Just thinking of getting a tgp enine in my beretta gets me all excited

do you just want a turbo charger in your beretta or is there a spacific reason that you want a TGP .. I own 3 of them and a beretta and a z24 cavy and a few others .. the reason I ask is it seems better to not ripapart one of these rare cars and doing a newer 3100 or 3400 swapp and adding the turbo that way..there are lots of sites deticated to these swaps..

I got a 90 tgp w/ 156k, engine was rebuilt about 60k ago. Engine burns oil and does not start right now, but does turn over.  New battery, has jeff m's 160, top gun, and x-over.  has newer spark plugs, No mufflers, and it also has a k and n cone.  I beleive the turbo has never been rebuilt, but i could be wrong, and last time i checked there was no play in the <impellar??  Pads, rotors, and slides are new on brakes but there is rotor rot because its been sitting. Power Master is a rebuilt unit about a year ago, and also has new pressurized nut (nitrogen) forgot what it is called  Gold cross-lace rims are in pretty good condition, and all four tires are at least 50% or below i think.

Interior isn't in very goog condition, have some contact cement in driver side backseat on floor, air controls dont work on the seats, information center works but dont know how accurate they ever have been, no radio, but i do have stock radio/cassette.  Has blue BioLights for headlights which looks sweet at night.  Moonroof works fine but it is getting more rust on it.  Dent in the passenger door and quarter panel, but i do have the brand new fender for it.  Hood also has some dents in it.  Has a stock spoiler and 5% window tint in the back 3 windows.  RKE entry doesnt work but I bought an old remote that will work, just never resoldered it.  Although it does cycle if you hit the right wires in the trunk.

Ive put over 10k into ontop of the 5500 i bought it for, it's in my local paper for 1600 but if anyone makes a fair offer, ill take it.  Ill get this more organized and post it again later.  If you have any other q's anyone, call 309-303-2367  and leave a message and number b/c i usually dont answer unkown numbers and i'm always at school or work.

Hey, I have a red 90 tgp sitting in my garage with a perfect motor and turbo but with a bad tranny that I might be willing to part with.

found out a local junkyard had a 90 tgp sitting in the yard, car was pretty
stripped, the whole cradle was missing so the engine was sitting on the ground.  They were asking for $500 for the engine. I didnt buy it. searched a little more and had no luck. I called back and said how much for the entire car. they wanted $850. I then asked how much for just the engine, I told them it had been sitting on the ground and theres a possibilty of the oil pan having a hole in it. so they sold me the engine for $250, I also grabbed the radiator and intercooler for another 45 bucks. unfortunatly the pcm had already been ganked. the wire harness cut in many spots.  steering column was missing, interior a mess. it made me sick to my stomache but atleast I got the engine complete with turbo! later dudes thanks for the help

OREGON!   THat is where you need to be.

Damn. I wish that some of these cars for sale were around here.

I would go a state away if I had to.

Got enough parts off my $250 parts car to fix up another one. Got a whole subframe on up off it.

That red with the blown tranny would be a nice one for me. but shipping is outrageous!
