Well I guess if you want to play in the fast lane you got to get bigger toys, so I did.. :D
Front view. Old turbo on the rightGT28R, left GT3076. Biggest Mo FO I could find in this US of A.

Rear view. Note the size of the turbine exducer. Had to grind the shit out of the down pipe.

Don?t know how it runs yet. Went to the post office and first time I cracked the throttle it blue the upper IC hose off. Didn?t have it on far enough. I?ll see tommorrow.
Look out 12 seconds. I hope.

Yea this might be as big as your T3. Although I don't know the specs on yours. Gotta see that some day. I am near SA once every 2 months but never in my car. Wife won't ride in mine cause I punched it once and it scared the shit out of her. Would like to hook up some day.

No it's nothing like a DP. A Dp is a toy compared to this one. My old one is a GT28R which is in the same HP range as the DP 320 HP. This is a GT3076. I'll edit the post. When I posted it the image link on each picture says GT3076 because thats the album I created. But you can't see that unless you look at the properties of the picture. Sorry about that. Cost, GT's are rather expensive. 1250.00 plus about 200.00 because I went to 2 1/2 pipes.
For the normal questions you can go to atpturbo.com. It's the biggest one I could find in the US of A. I did find one in Austraila(sp?) with all the specs the same except the turbin AR, they had a 1.06. Couldn't buy that in the US although the Garett site list it.

Is that an FMU or just a HUGE AFPR??
Looks AWSOME!

It is for sale but at present it's spoken for by another member. Should that change I'll post.

Thanks Kenny. Don?t have a vido camera it quit and they wanted 500 to repair it. My little Cannon Power Shot will take movies don?t know about sound. I?ll have to read the book

Yea that?s what I said when I got it. :o Had no idea the compressor was that big.

Thanks mars. The ECM is stock with a TG chip. It?s a BEGI RRFMU. It has a static adjustment and then you can adjust how many #?s more of fuel pressure per # of boost. In essence you can increase the pressure per # of boost in minute proportions. It?s pretty cool for fine tuning the fuel. The spark retard is through a MSD dis 4. Hum you didn't notice the intake spacers. (not a great picture)You are the only other person that I know of that has them. I had to do it because with the big TB the actuator rod was jamed by the upper IC pipe.
Hope you got your TB figured out. Mine is off a late model GM SUV Had to make an adapter but other than that it was plug and play. Idles better than it used to.
Well I hope I got everybodys questions answered.
z284pwr Don't really know what your asking. All 3 coils are just stock coils. Don't have a decal for the one on the left if thats what you mean.
Jud
Nope, I must start wearing my glasses, cause I didn't notice the spacers at all.
I also like the spacers for the extra space down between the TB and the tranny, hoping I can build some headers in the spring, and would need all the room I can get there.
My TB is working 100%, (Which is VERY odd, cause it's a Ford product)
Anyways, I hope it runs well for you.

I can't even dial a phone without my glasses.
Glad to hear your TB is working great. Did you guys get you IAc adapter perfected?
Thanks mars, heres how it ran.
Well I took it out to a deserted road about 2 miles from my house this AM.
Shit, WTF it almost broke my noes on the steering wheel at a 15mph punch. So I footbrake it and let it go, I notice I only have about 6-7# of boost and the BC was set to 9-10. It finally got up to speed but it was like I was dragging a cement truck.
Came home and started pondering what was wrong. Did I make a bad decision on the turbo did I spend all that money and all that work for it to be a slug. Wrote a letter to twalt (Thomas) who has been waiting in Kandahar AFG for 3 days trying to get out for his leave when it dawned on me that I put 2 rags in the down pipe to seal it while I was grinding the clearence for the exducer. Damn I am a dumb shit I only took out one. I started grinding before the hurricane and I guess one of them fell into the DP in the 4 1/2 days I was a refugee.
Anyhow I uncaped the cutout and lumberded back over to the road. Wouldn't you know there was a cop in my path sitting in the median so I decelerated going by him, made it. :)
Got to the road and belive me the aprehension was high. I was almost afraid to punch it.
Like make or break. Punched it again at about 15 mph. Whoa you SOB your going to kill me. :o  This thing pulled like a freight train. I was astounded at the top end power. My seat dyno couldn't keep up. Backed off and made a u turn at the end of the road. Foot braked it and off I went. Didn't have the snap at the hit but soon got the revs and what a f****** ride. I am tickled pink. This thing I think will do what I have planned for almost a year.
Now all I have to do is get the rag out. I think I'll try sticking something in the cut out and blow it back into it and hopefully I can get it out. We will see.
Jud
IAC adapter is perfect.

Im up for it. Hopefully one of theise days we can go to the track onece im tuned enough. Well see.
I don't know the specs on my GM-8 IHI. All I know its good enough for a boosted '00+ Duramax diesel. Some have hit 13s with the duramax on the heavy truck. Then again..that is a strong motor. Yours seems to have a modern turbine wheel..mine is modern..but not as radical as yours.
You seriously need to get a set of FFP upper motormounts.

They keep the motor from rocking back and forth under acceleration. Meaning, the power gets to the ground faster.
Almost looks like he has poly bushings in those mounts.
They don't look stock.

There solid. Np poly.

right on, what did you weld them? or just some JB weld or epoxy or something?
What trans are you running? Is it just a built 4T60 or did you modify that too? I see its an automatic, 60? 80? Oh yeah and any info on torque converter?

Its been modified but only a wider sprag unit and a different 3rd clutch pack and drum. Third went out 3 or 4 times. 3 times right after the second rebuild. Needs rebuilding again can't put the power to it in 3rd unles it shifts from 2nd at WOT and then it holds. When done it will get a 3000 to 3500 stall speed which was planed befor I got the turbo for the turbo. Considered a manual with a slipper clutch but I here they don't shift very well. Guess because they use cables.

:) Doubt very seriously if any of those products would hold up. There black paper backed phenolic discs 2 to an end 8 in total. Made some out of hard wood a couple years ago and one finally split. Didn?t get it tight enough.
