Title: Parting out TGP if enough interest :(
Post by: TGPto_restore on November 15, 2005, 01:28:47 AM
Well, I have a 100 mile commute and, although I love my car, I dont have the time to fix it, nor do I really want to put money into something that is not worth it, monetarily at least.

I think I can get way more out of it in parts than selling outright. Currently, the tranny has been slipping a little bit going down the freeway. Enough to make the motor rev a little higher, keep the boost gague in the middle instead of the green, and decrease the gas mileage.

It just started leaking coolant, I havent investigated fully yet, coming from somewhere around the coolant reservior. Not the rad or hoses I can see.

I hit a tree (dont ask how) but I got a replacement right fender, bumper and FRONT SPOILER (brand new). I have not installed them yet.

Engine runs great. 112000 miles, x-over leaks (smell it).

New tires on the rims (5000 miles)

Interior is in pretty good shape. Only thing not working are the seats/cruise control vacuum options. Power seat adjuster on lower side works fine.

Radiator is re-cored and I replaced the power master and accumlator not too long ago. (1100 freaking dollars!!!)

The entire car, parts speaking, is in good shape except for problems listed.

I live in Upland, CA. 30 miles east of downtown LA on the 10. The car will be parted out in San Bernardino.

I would like to see what kind I interest I generate. If anyone wants to call me or email me, let me know what you want. If I get good interest in the next couple weeks, apart it comes. Sad but true.

What year TGP is it?

Do you have pictures of the car...you may be able to sell it as a complete car instead of the heartbreak of parting it. 8)
