With our new shop in working order I would like to know what parts you would be interested in. Any ideals?
Pick what you want also any piped product would be mandrel bent.
I would like some information, like what size piping you would like the fmic kits to have, what size the exhaust should be?
And whats the target size you would like for a front mount?
thanks andy

Ditto. This is the biggest thing I need right now for my STE. I'd actually probably be interested in 2.
Shawn
im guessing you would be wanting the dps with stock ends and hanger provisions?
I'd be interested also.
why not 3in dp's? boost creep?? no room??
if you could come up with a good intercooler upgrade that didn't require any cutting of existing parts (like metal out of the front end) that would be sweet!

3"has already been done. Although 2.5" is what I think most people want. I know that I would purchase one.
a perfect kit to upgrade a stock tgp would include a 2.5" downpipe and all bends needed to weld in to the existing stainless pipes, mandrel pipe to weld in to the tgp exhaust and the two 2.5" bends to make a CAI. A 90degree and 60 degree bend and 2 more 90s probably. that would be for someone to weld that stuff up when it arrives right? follow me?
I know a lot of people have dropped their stock pipes completely, but a package like that could quickly upgrade your car enough and there is likely no problem with tgp stainless 16 yr old pipes. I got another complete stainless exhaust laying out back under a tree out of a tgp I might modify that one.
But here is a pic of the only way to shape a CAI with the stock battery/ washer bottle. (http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/4/web/2056000-2056999/2056262_28_full.jpg)
...this one is 2.25 I think, and it is barely smaller than the t-25 mouth. but if you want to make some like this one make sure and weld a flange on there for a vapor recirc hose that goes to the valve cover.

well speaking for my own needs/wants, I would like something Stainless 2.5 inches from the turbine on the turbo to the rear hanger for the stock DP and then down between the firewall and PS strut/hanger to the exhaust.
i have a 2.5 SS Mandrel bent system already from the bottom of the PS strut/hanger all the way back to the exhaust tips, but from the end of the stock DP im still using the stuped press bent 2.25 (if that) piping because i couldn't get a ball and socket fitting to have the whole thing 2.5 inches from the place i got my exhaust built.
im thinking the fabrication of the piece that would bolt to the Turbine housing similar to the stock piece will be quite difficult and costly...and both these pieces would need heat shielding IMO.
thats whats on my wish list

I know of one person who had a whole 3 inch system on gen 1 w-body and he said its possable but if you have any engine movement the 3 inch pipe will rub, vibrate, "affect" the relatively small space between the firewall down past the PS strut/mount from time to time.
IMO 2.5 mandrel is big enough but to each there own.... 8)

Agreed I have 2.5" from the cat back, and after its Y, 2.5 is basically like having a 5" exhaust cut in 2. No real use for that
With the downpipe question, why not just get a T3 downpipe flange to help assist with T3 swaps and perhaps a crossover for it?

Oh, how exactly would you get FMIC pipes to the front without removing stuff? I looked and looked, and you kinda can't go thru the stock intercooler location thanks to the A/C core. Going around it would waste lots of room. I have a spare FMIC laying around with 2.5" ends, if I had ideas forthe way of getting pipes to the front that could easily be tested.

Info on this please, I wouldn't mind one of these chromed, would look quite nice. Any concerns about water being sucked in though?

You do know those are the Cast-iron heads right?

Yes, and preferably stainless as well.

Not sure if the last comment was directed to me or not but if it was.....im not really intrested in any turbo upgrades or anything.
Im happy with what i have and then im finished messing with that car...
few more minor things to do to it still but thats not one of them....

I just want ball bearings, I like the t-25. When I get a t-3 wheel then I will deal with it then.
so theres 2 down pipes right? or 2 pipes that can be made 2.5"

A little off topic I know, but you can get a GT25, which is just a dbb T25. They run in the $700 range though so they are a bit pricey.

$700 is cheap compared to the ones i have seen on various sites and on ebay...
700 is hella cheap, a New T25, not DBB is over 900$ from some retailers
Just looked again and they are $775. They are GT2554R, also known as GT25R. Here is a link: http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=GRT-TBO-001&Category_Code=GRT
Not sure if the turbine sizes would be comparable to ours or not. The GT28R is the same price though so maybe it would be a better option? I haven't really looked at the specs of either of these so I don't know...
