Title: Parting out My TGP
Post by: visusens on September 08, 2002, 12:22:52 PM
Due to transmission failure, I am now forced to part out my car. It started off as a project but now the cost of a rebuild has forced me to part it out.
I have already put the HUD and the Powermaster on e-bay. With all of the thing that I would have to purchase for it, It would be better for me to just find another one in better condition and go from there. Maybe if it had a sunroof I would not consider doing this, but I have thought this over carefully. I am going to sell the engine. I am in the process of taking pictures of it and setting up a short video clip of it running I know a few guys on this site might be looking for a low mileage rebuilt turbo motor. I will take as many shots as I could along with pictures of the turbo and impellar. I will put this together by tomorrow and post the pictures on this website first for everyone to look at before I consider to auction it off. I will have everything together along with a price by tomorrow. If there are any other parts anyone might be interested in, please e-mail me at
visusens@yahoo.com

Thanks guys

Just a tip, you may want to try a lower starting bid. $125 for emblems (that aren't perfect) may scare some. Seeing a $1 starting bid can get things moving, and adding a reserve doesn't cost that much more. I've just had a lot more luck with lower starting bids that higher ones. I don't know what the last set  went for so I can't really guess on that. Seems that alot of guys take them off anyways.

Sorry for the multiple posts. Your body looks to be in fairly good shape? Is it? I may know someone who is interested. What would you take for the car as a whole, with a bad trans?

thanks for the tip chris. I am looking to go back on an adjust a few things
Nothing on the car has been sold yet, I was looking for $850 for the whole thing. With what it has I don't think that is a bad number.

Thanks again for the advice
