Title: Continental Extreme Contact Tires
Post by: TGPilot on January 25, 2006, 07:07:52 AM
WOW!

I bought a set of these and had them installed on the TGP Monday. THEY ARE WONDERFUL! Excellent feel in the corners, no tracking with every groove in the road, and very quiet!

I am actually looking forward to the next snow storm to see how they are. They are rated as an Ultra High Performance All Season tire. I spoke with a couple of people with them and read many reviews about them on TireRack. Seems to have an excellent rating for all conditions.

I think they have slightly changed the tread pattern bcause they do not look as hokey and off-roadish as this picture shows.

How much per tire (if you don't mind me asking)? We need new tires on ours as well.

TireRack has them for $100/ea plus shipping, but shipping to my place was only $46 and they arrived in two days.

They have a ton of dry traction! I used to be able to spin the tires in 3rd with the Good/Year Eagle HP's...these tires allow just a little spin in 2nd then the clutch slips in 3rd if you go in hard.

You will not be dis-satisfied with these tires. Very nice and they are real smooth. They are a V rated tire...but the sidewalls are constructed to keep sway to a minimum like a Z rated tire. I whipped the wheel back and forth at 60 MPH and she didn't even want to lose control...ready for more!  8)

That's one thing I miss about that car, it handled like it was on rails. We'll have to look in to those tires, thanks Kenny.
