Ok so what exactly causes the random stalling at stops, it happend to me once today and yesterday and is starting to bother me, its an *almost* every day thing, Will Jeff Ms chip solve this, is it like a computer issue? Or like Altenator/battery issure or what? How can I solve it?

Do you already have a crossover? Jeff M's chip + crossover typically solves this problem. My STE used to stall pretty much everytime I stopped. As soon as I put the Jeff M chip in it rarely ever stalls at all. In the last month it stalled once (and it was kinda weird because I was going like 35mph).

I was havin a similar problem, car always stalled at a stop(thought it was a vaccume leak).I put a vaccume gauge on the car found no leaks. For some reason I decided to change the stock o2 for a heated o2(AFS 75 for 96 lumnia)after that the surgeing and stalling disapperaed.Dont really no for sure if thats what fixed it but I havent had any problems like that since.Later
i just put a New o2 in, a Bosch one, mabye thats it, lol, it was 30$ i dont really wanna just throw it away, I have no mods, alll stock, i think skalor is going to be making me a new chip so well see if that solves it
Xover 1st, then chip
xover when i have 525$ + 300$ for a turbo rebuild, no way in hell that f**king turbos coming out and NOT being rebuilt
Hi Solved mine witha new TPS "Throttle position sensor" Good Luck,
I have yet to replace my x-over nor have I gotten Jeffs chip and my car has stopped stalling :D . It used to stall everytime I stopped the car. But the more I drive the car the better the problem gets. I also have cleaned my upper but not my lower intake plenum, vacuum ports on the throttle body (1/8 inch of carbon build up), replaced my IAC and TPS. That made a noticable improvement. But the biggest improvement came when I took my fuel injectors out, cleaned all the injector holes in the intake manifold (each one was full of dirt), replaced all the o-rings, and cleaned each individual injector by hand with throttle body cleaner.
I don't mean to put down Jeffs parts at all I would just like to let everyone on this site know that you can get these cars running without Jeffs chips. All I'm saying is if you actually fix the problem by replacing the proper part you're going to help a lot more people out down the road. I just like it when things are done properly thats all.
So please try to actually find out whats wrong with the car before you start swaping out chips (sorry Jeff).
What is the identifier code on your chip? AZRC?

Well I have the chip in my hand right now so I'll give you all the numbers on it. On the chip cover it reads "DELCO ATMK 5205". On the chip itself it reads "DELCO J251" and the other numbers on the chip are; 16045915, AD27C256, E 5012AC, U92413MSX. And on the side of the ship it has "68767" and "8930". I was under the impression that Jeffs chips had "Top Gun" or something of the sort on them if I'm not mistaken. Unless I've missed something or a sticker fell off To me this is a stock chip. If i'm wrong I appaulogize to Jeff and everyone else on this forum.
No need to apologize from what I have seen man! Looks like you have the ATMK version of the Vin V chip. I forget off the top of my head where that fell into the "updated" versions of the .bin GM released.
Even if the sticker fell off Jeff seemed to silicon his chips in after he programmed them. Theft prevention? Just kidding Jeff! I kid...I am a kidder!
Anyone know if the ATMK .bin had the idle stall corrections in it like AZRC? 8)
hey prospeeder, you may want to ditch that Bosch unit. :( those suck, I had one and Jeff M made me take it off and put a ac delco back on. That didnt make it run better though. I had to do the chip, pipe and a million other things. then it stopped breaking all the time. but getting rid of the Bosch O2 was like the first step
True Dat!!!
Bosch O2's suck azz
damnit, well ill replace it when i do my crossover pipe with an ew delco one
I know that I'm bringing up an old topic, but I just thought I'd share my solution to the TGP stalling.
Mine used to stall at low speeds or if it was idling for more than a couple minutes. I charged my battery for 48 hours after learning of the stalling problem, and that completely solved my problem. :icon_twisted: My TGP is completely stock (cracked crossover and all) and she NEVER stalls!
oh the new chip Skalor burnt me solved the problem. Man did it make the car fast!
