hey im new to computer  tuning and i want to know what i have for a chip  is my chip a flashable or not. i own a 1995 grand prix se B4U 3100 with an auto. any help would be great.

I don't believe OBD 1.5 is flashable. I thought only OBDII chips were.

and you might have better luck on these sites with further info on your car:

1994 camaro and firebird 3.4L SFI.Flashable ecm and OBD1 aldl port. :lol:

does ne 1 know where the computer is located. is it the one under the hood or the one under the dash?

You should have an EEPROM(electronically eraseable prom) in there, so it is "flashable." I've reflashed a prom in a 1994 W-body for what it's worth(using a GM Tech II scanner/software setup...all we could do was select an "update" on there, I don't believe you could manually make whatever changes you desired to make on the Tech II at least...)


By the way, have you joined the www.60degreeV6.com forum? If not, you might want to check it out, it's more related to your car instead of this specific message board. Also, they have a computer tuning section as well(the owner of that board tunes certain 94+ cars, he may make a "chip" for your car already, but you'd have to check with him about that :wink: ).
