really poor pics

Damn, I'd love to pick that up if I had the cash.
I'd like to know how he figured out it was #818.
Seems kinda weird that it only has leather and has no CD or moonroof, usually when they have leather they have another option to go with. Looks like a nice car, wish the pics were better though.

Mine is Leather only, no moonroof  , or CD, which now has Alpine anyways.
Definitely a nice car though, wonder what his reserve is, if the "value" he put is really $8,000 i'm sure its pretty high
I emailed him for more pictures of the driver's seat in more detail. The bolster and lat pad looks terribly worn for only 15,500 miles! Looks like he is trying to hide it in the pictures!

So what are you saying, this dude is trying to screw someone over and that isn't the actualy mileage? Check the VIN and see what it says, that would be the first indication, maybe that is also a reason for the poor quality pictures, to cover up the true condition? :?
Don't know but that is the very first thing I look at for "wear and tear" on a TGP that has "Low Miles" the condition of the drivers seat! 8)
Bidding War With Kuntzie
5000k and still reserve

He told me that the dealer wrote that on the service manual and said that was the production number. I posted his exact reply on the thread on the W' board.
His Vin# is 64981 higher than mine, so I guess I'll just start claiming mine is #12 out of 2,725.
Just got this email from Ebay.
QuoteDear invasion_1,
Good news! The seller has lowered the reserve price on this item
on the TGP listed above
Well finally one within range. I could drive this home. Think I might go look at this one when I get back from vacation. I am in Charleston SC now. Be back Sunday.
Has anybody checked the vin? Wouldn't tell if you did. Wouldn't blame you if you were bidding. I'l;l check before I make the trip. humm 7 days, I'll be home in 3 or 4 days, leaves 3 days to see it, With WIFI from almost any where I can bid on it.( love the WIFI, I am on it now).
I am pretty leery. 16 year old car, lousy pictures . If I were him or her I would have a pro take pictures.
The TA I just bought used a pro and they sold it.

He probly isnt going to get what he wants just based on his feedback rating... but I could be wrong. Reputation does go along way on ebay thou.
7K and counting. Wow. I would like to see some real pics of this car.
...And reserve is met!!!!
The side bolster doesnt even look bad at all, Too bad it doesnt have an sunroof, 7k is a little high for that car, but the drivers seat looks like its in great condition, mabye the guy was a fat ass, that would accelerate seat wear
You need to look close! The front edge of the lat pad is worn out! My 135K + seat looks the same condition to me! Fat ass or not when you start to wear out leather as thick as ours in 15k miles there are issues!
I think that car is misrepresented in all honesty. I think they found a car that slipped through the carfax records and are trying to capitalize on it! People seem to take carfax as the end all be all for history records. I would have to look a that car with a fine toothed comb before I bought it as a 15k mile car. I would literally take the wheel bearings apart, pull the brake pads for GM part numbers, run a scope down all of the spark plug holes to see the factory cross-hatching, etc etc etc!
If it has 15k original miles it is worth $10,000 easy. But for me to pay that much for a car and it did not say Lincoln LS V8 Sport on it....it would be pulled apart looking for authenticity! 8)
