Title: TGP Radiator
Post by: pontiac6ksteawd on March 13, 2006, 02:49:55 PM
Ok, I am getting the radiator rebuilt in my TGP. They say its going to cost about 478 bucks. Thats to completely replace the center core section, while re-using the end tanks, sand/media blasting the tanks inside and out to be sure they are completely clean, reseal all inlet and outlet necks, reassemble and paint with high temp paint any color I choose, which I will probly just choose black or navy blue. Is this going to be a good price? or do I need to look elsewhere??

For that price you could probably get a custom made aluminum one to work....

How about something like this?

If I measured right, which is kinda hard in the car, that is pretty close I believe.

That would work depending on the inlet and outlet locations, as well as the fill location. I cant see any pic, so I dont know...

$478 sounds like a bit much...

That definately sounds a bit steep to me.  I had mine re-cored ~2 years ago for $250.
