OK i now own 3 tgps and have two spare motors out of parts tgps. Now What I would like to know is what do I need to look for in turbo's and rebuild kits.. I ask for both because I have to rebuild one of the t25s and I plan on Doing a full build up of one of my spare motors and adding a larger turbo.. I know I have lots of research to do on this project but any suggestions would be cool ... AKA previous turbo company experience good and bad... I know I'm not the first to go down this road so I am hoping to learn from everyone else's experiences...
Thanks Jim
www.cheapturbo.com did mine and im very happy with it and their work.
Your saying that two more TGP's have turned into parts cars. At that rate won't be long and there wont be any left. :icon_frown:

Hes making one into a street sled, There is not too many of those and I would not try it without having some parts to work with. If done right with a rebuild from Garrett the maker of the turbo. I got a quality remanufactured official t-25 journal bearinged turbo and it is real nice. its cool to feel the power of full boost with a small turbo, others here will tell you to just get a big turbo. I am going to do one with a big turbo too. Who knows maybe this guy will give us a nice build up or 2.
I got mine running good and completed without the help of a parts car. then after I knew a bunch of crap about the TGP I grabbed a bunch of parts off a totally trashed one that had absolutely no chance of being driven and pulled the whole front clip off it. there was almost no good parts on the interior because it had no back window for like 5 years and tweeker garbage stuck to the carpet and 6 inches of leaves from the tree it was parked under. the engine was also grown over with blackberry vines. I did get a NICE steering wheel with no holes in the leather and treated it with shoe polish, stuck it in my car. But if you are saving some parts from non runners more power to ya, just know what to pull before you drag it across the scales to be crushed.
Well I personaly have one full tgp parts car that I have compleatly torn apart nut and bolt and cattaloged it all and put into bags and into storage ... I have one full drive train from a tgp that i bought off of ebay witch was a completly smashed rearend so they just cut all the wires and droped the whole front drive assebley and then sold it that way.. And I have my three drivers ... 2 1990s red with tan leather and one red 1990 with the grey leather interior..
This rebuild kit will work for our t25's right
