I figured I would post this here for those who may not venture to W-Body site anymore, anyways, thanks to Tony's great idea of using a TSTE Performance sound switch from a TSTE and wiring it up to an Electric Cut-Out, so I got the switch that was on Ebay.
So anyways, I don't suppose someone has a wiring diagram of how the switch is wired......I may as well see if it will be possible to get the thing to work with the switch it came with first. I'm afraid though it won't with how cut-outs usually work, if I left the switch "on" the motor on the cut-out would always be running and there is no "middle" for it to stay idle at, just left and right. i suppose I could disect the thing and perhaps make it work, but I'll wait and see if I can get a wiring diagram first to see how it would work.
I will take a look in my 1989 TGP manual and see what it shows wiring wise..
non of my 1990 TGP's had the PERFORMANCE SOUND switch so was it only 1989's?
yea, from what i understand, performance sound was an 88-89 only thing
I thought it was a Turbo STE thing only? I know my TGP doesn't have it, maybe some '89 TGP guys can enlighten us?
STE has the gain slider switch on the door. like the others said it's the '89 TGP that has performance sound switch.

Alright cool, thanks for clearing that up, now I just need to get the cut-out and to figure out how the wiring would work....our trip to Vegas and the NHRA museum here in 3 weeks requies getting goodies first
Oh yeah, where is the switch located at anyways on the '89s?
On the drivers side door panel, mounted in the speaker grille. Kuntzie's 89 has it, I've seen it in person.
