Got us by the short and curlies......

If Canada gets the oil and tar sands up North perfected were in for a drop here in North America but thats a work in progress...

Still rather pay $2.50+ a gallon than live in a Backwards fuck up of a country like Iran or a wanna be dictator like Hugo Chavez in Venezuela

I was reading about that last week. Looks like an extensive process. They were saying that 5-10 years ago it was WAY to expensive to even attempt it...but with the way things are now and the way they have moved the extraction process it is cheaper than drilling.

I am ready for E85! I was looking for E85 locally so I could tweak the chip to accept it. At least give it a try! ;) :icon_cool:

right now though the cost of E85 supercedes the cost of ethyl because of the cost to produce small quantities, and the downfall is it needs some sort of energy to create it.  As its use spreads it will become cheaper but right now there isnt enough demand to drop it.

Would be nice.  The dealership I am working at ran out of work for the 10 techs for the first time I have worked there today (almost a year).  They started sending people home about 3 pm if they were done with their current work.  Times are changing thats for sure.  The real reason behind this it that they didn't sell enough heating fuel this winter because it was warmer than average.

I am investing in $500 in pellets for my stove that I will install this summer so my home heating costs should be half of what they were this year, and I have already stuck it to NYSEG as it is.  They upped my budget payment by almost $100 in anticipation of oil costs, but it wasn't even that cold.  Good winter for me, bad for monopoly energy companies.
