you just need a remote that is made by TRW and has the 'unlock' & 'lock' on the top row, and trunk on the bottom.  i have a remote from a '95 Monte and it works.  it has a different part# but the only difference is the Monte remote has a bowtie emblem and my original remotes have the Olds rocket symbol.  if you can i would try to program the remote and see if it works.

Ground out your connector in the trunk. After everything is done cycling press any one button on the transmitter once. Everything should cycle again. Take the ground wire off and your done.

I now have 2 Remotes but they have Different Part numbers.
They look the same. except one is Smooth and the other is Texured. also they are Rounded.

A: P/N 12522339

Both of those will work for you. Want to sell one?

Yes you keep the connector grounded through the whole process I posted before. After you press the button the locks will cycle again. Then pull the ground wire off.

I was looking at the remote I got with my Cutlass and it's #10205240. Compare that to your part #'s Jeorge. Only one number off of one of yours.

I don't see why you can't use both. Program one, unhook the ground.... Ground the connector again and program the other.

i think i got the wrong remote, i have the three buttons but the trunk releas and the unlock buttons are switched around. I tried programming it using the method described above but it didn't work. Should it?

That won't work. You can program up to two remotes. After pressing the button to program the first, press a button on the second one to program it, then unground the connector. The unlock and lock buttons MUST be on the top row for it to work. There was a square remote with the unlock button on the bottom which won't work.
