Title: 1.6/1 Rocker arm questions
Post by: GOT2B GM on May 01, 2006, 07:19:33 AM
Are these a direct bolt on for the LG5. Do they use the original length LG5 pushrods? What donor motors can I get the rockers from? (I'll probably just use factory stamped 1.6 rockers) And lastly, what if any modications are needed to accomodate the 1.6 rockers?

Thanks

The 3100 series motors have 1:6 rockers, 2000 + are roller rockers.

Not sure about the push rods, I installed Comp Cams 1:6 roller rockers with hardened pushrods from Comp Cams when I switched.

Thomas

I'm pretty sure they started getting roller rockers earlier than that...

94-95 3100s had them. The one to look for is the berettas since they are way easy to remove compared to a w-body.

No need to change anything other than bleed the lifters down for assymbly.
