Title: For sale - ABS unit and controllers
Post by: mechman on June 16, 2006, 10:22:49 PM
Hello,

I bought my car in july of 05 with the ABS disabled. I got the ABS up and running with an ABS controller, NEW accumulator, and NEW motor relay.

I ran the car for 1 week. I everything worked fine, but I really wasn't impressed with the braking (I have read that is common for these cars). After seeing the design of the ABS and all the parts that had gone bad, I really didn't trust the system in the long run, so I converted to vacuum brakes.

I'm selling the whole Powermaster III ABS unit with the new accumulator and the new motor relay (also have the old sticky one). I also will throw in the wiring harnesses and solenoid control relays and fuses since I don't need them. I also have the aluminum mount that mounts between the ABS and the firewall.

I also have 2 ABS control modules, part numbers  16135258 (90 cutlass supreme) and 16159331 (90 Pont GP SE). I got the first one locally, but found one later with the same part number as my old one.

The accumulator was bought on the 22nd Sept. 05 and the relay was bought on 13th Oct. 05. These are new GM parts.

I have pictures of all the parts. Everything is super clean, the old owner took REALLY good care of this car.

Not looking to make a profit. I'll sell the ABS unit as break even, $320 (receipts included), $40 bucks for each ABS module. You pay actual shipping or pick up locally. I weighed the ABS unit, wires and mounting block at 24lbs. The moduels are less than a pound each.

See the following website for pictures. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks.

Ray

You should see the car! Runs great 147K miles.

Just for the record this is my first time posting anything for sale here, so ask any questions.

Thanks.
