Title: 90 TGP For Sale Red/Grey leather
Post by: pontiac6ksteawd on June 25, 2006, 12:40:44 PM
I am going to need to sell my TGP, and hopefully its a quick sale. But it probly wont... Car is located in St Louis MO 63376

Anyways, this is how the car started out when I bought it at 113k...

Since then I have replaced the body parts from a 89 TGP I also had owned at the time. It now looks like this at 118k..

I have done some upgrades and major repairs to the car:
Jeff M Top Gun 160 Chip with Thermostat
Rebuilt the X-over by a professional EDIT: Then heat tape wrapped. Turbo diaper and blanket reinstalled.
EDIT: K&N Air Filter and breather.
EDIT: Cutty Vert 3.4 strut tower brace
EDIT: Distributor Delete O-ring replaced
Replaced the EGR tube with a GOOD junkyard unit.
New Tires with only 3-4000 miles
New Monroe Sensatrac Stuts with only 3-4000 miles
Relocation of the overflow bottle
Retrofit of AC to R-134a with the easy access drier tank
Rebuilt the Radiator
Replaced the AC Condensor
Replaced AC Hose Assembly
New Alternator
Replaced coils and ICM with AC Delco parts.
New battery (1 year old or less, still under warenty)
Replaced the RKE module. I have one KeyFob, but the ring on its broke, and the buttons dont work well. But the Module does.
Upgraded the DIC to a LCD, I do still have the VFD, and will go with the car when sold.
20 or 35% tint on all windows except windshield
New Windshield
Rebuilt back brakes with only 1000 miles on them
New power Antenna
Replaced mirrors with Color Matched Mirrors
New Alternator
New AC Delco Fuel Pump
New AC Delco MAP sensor
New L36 Injectors

Now the Bad:
Paint still needs to be redone and body work as well. Pics will tell the Story on that.
Hail dings all over the car. I was told a Paintless dent repair could do them all.
Power mirrors work, But something is wrong with the power mirror switch or wiring. 3 of the 4 directions work for both mirrors.
Sunroof headliner sags, but the other headliner is in excelent condition. I even have a spare grey colored headliner.
I beleive the center console peice for the power seats needs to be replaced. All the functions work for the passenger seat, but not the driver.
The ABS light comes on from time to time. I beleive the system needs to be rebled and the acumalator needs to be replaced.
Stumbles a bit under light acceleration
The Boost guage works intermitently. Its in the speedo unit cause you can tap the front of the speedo, or a light smack to the dash above the headlight switch and it starts working again. I dont use it, so I dont do this. I only found this out cause I thought my turbo was bad (when I had the stock airbox on) and I thwapped the speedo with my finger and it started working..

Thats about all I can think of at this time. I will add more once I remember them..

Overall, I love this car, and I hate to sell it. I wouldnt hesitate to drive this car long distances either But I need something that I can drive everyday (and doesnt take premium gas). And as some of you can attest to, these cars dont make the best daily drivers. It runs out great and has good acceleration. There is no shaft play in the turbo. It just passed emissions and safety inspection earlier this month. Interior Condition I would have to rate at a 9 for everywhere but the drivers seat. There its a 6 or 7. No major tears, but it does have a wear mark on the left bolster. There is also a small oil leak. About 1 quart per oil change on that. Uses No oil. The AC works, Windsheild wiper/washers work. Hud works and displays correctly. Speedo works, but is about 18% off on speed. No other lights light up that would annoy you or me LOL.

EDIT: The proper battery cover, and windshield washer bottle, and ABS relay center assembly installed. Its not like whats in the pic of that area. Mobil 1 oil or Valvoline Synthetic used since it has been in my possesion.

Thats all I can think of at this point. Dont hesitate to ask questions about the car. I will answer them to the best of my ability...

With Cassette Deck, I am asking 1200
With WORKING CD player, 1350
With Pioneer Premier CD Stereo WITHOUT working steering wheel controls I am asking 1300
I am open to offers.

I am willing to deliver it within St Louis to Denver. But you have to buy it within one week on or befor 7-1-06 for that delivery schedule (thats when I leave to go on vacation to Denver from St Louis). And you pay for all fuel costs for getting it to you.

bump for a nice car and good seller.  I just wish I could buy it right now but it would take to long for me to save up the money.  I miss mine should've never sold it.

SOLD!!! Kinda... We decided to keep it. My wife is now using it as her daily driver as it has very cold, and working AC...

This also gives me a chance to strip down the STE AWD, seal it, prime it, smooth out some dimples, and get it repainted..
