Got injectors today, put them in and it finally runs normal. This car kicked my butt the last 11 months.
remaining issues.... Aside from the EGR Hose leaking, Burning antifreeze smoke comes by the firewall sometimes when i beat the piss out of the car. i think it might be dripping onto crossover from throttle body hoses? I dont think its the turbo because it smells like antifreeze. The car is pretty fast for being thrown together by me... other than that , i know it can be faster sometime soon. It cant touch the 350 Prix just yet....
i would guess the coolant hose going into the heater core on the firewall.......
Yeah and if it is starting to leak a pin hole now then in a short time it will look like Old Faithful in Yellowstone National park soon! :icon_eek:
have fun with that, my heater core line right there (the to line from the water pump) blew and it was 70$ for a new one
I didnt see any smoke coming out today......Invasion, i think i know what your talking about... Is the line unboltable?
ya its only on with worm clamps.....
not to bad to access ether with the engine cold that is.
Ok I have trans problem now.
I had a thin rubber hose on the trans vacuum port with the plastic T. The hose was on the smaller side of the T. I switched to a bigger hose and connected it to the bigger side of the T thinking it would allow more vaccum for the trans.... but now when i slow down the car bangs whens it downshifts. I also put an extra quart in because i swore it was low but maybe i overfilled it. I sucked a bunch out with a tube but it still bangs. I wasnt doing this before i screwed with it. Any Ideas? Does one end of the plastic T remain open? or am i wrong.
another problem- My front fan wasnt getting power so i hooked a switch up to it. My temp gauge randomly stopped working. It wont get off the 100 mark. Besides getting a fan relay, is there any way to test the wires going to the temp sensor with a volt meter? I dont want to overheat so i need to fix this problem. thanks
vacu-tite brand rubber couplings and tees for the tranny vac lines, a coolant flush, and new lower motor mounts should clear things up for you.
might be a good idea to change the tranny filter now too.

One port on the vaccum check valve near the transaxle modulator needs to be left open. Here's a vaccuum routing diagram someone on the board made for referrence.

isnt that the same diagram on the car as you pop the hood? :icon_confused:
oh yea, and its OK to add like a pint more than the full mark on the dipstick for the tranny. wont hurt a damn thing. ;)

The underhood diagram isn't quite that detailed. ;)
