Probably not a bad car for someone w/ all that's been done to it. Fixing it would probably involve a headgasket job and shaving the heads slightly(if needed).
Does he ever state why it over heated? He said he just redid the bottom end two years ago so I'd assume the head gaskets would be in relatively good shape... "it might be the thermostat"... quick to give up a nice car for an $8 part.
and for the record, I've overheated my Cutlass numerous times and the heads were fine... not saying they will be in all cases but these motors have handled it before...
I was going to buy this car off the board except I couldn't find a way to get it back home. IT's too bad because I honestly think it's either a bad T-stat or Waterpump, and I highly doubt there is anything wrong with the heads. I REALLY want the car, but without having a reliable way to get it back I can't.........
