I'm gonna make a new thread for this.....(a) Because i can and (b) lets call this a new beginning :icon_biggrin:
Yes it blew up but I'm ready to move on.
So tonight i began ripping at the engine bay and removed almost everything needed to pop the engine out, still a few more things but its more or less ready to pull.
The turbo looks to have been spared the carnage and I'm SUPER happy about that to this point that cause its new i don't have to replace from the looks of it.
the rest of the engine is a write off I'm guessing....now i have not took the heads off yet as i will do that when the engine comes out, but it looks bad.
anyway here i go again :icon_rolleyes:

so you think your heads took a crap aswell? also cam..?? aftermarket or stock? hopefully it isnt terrible.... the motor out of the turbo ste i sold has a bad oil pump and i think he screw up some stuff now too maybe you can put the 2 motors together and have one good one lol
also i think my motor is gunna be in the same boat anyways,, im surprised its still holding in there so well

meh, that looks fine to me. put a little bit of meguiars on it after a wash and its good to go. Also, make sure that you fill the cylinder with sugar before the first start up.
Any idea what caused it yet?
I think ether the cap broke or one of the bolts which caused the increasingly loud ticking sound that eventually led to the whole rod comming loose and with no place to go.....out the block and smashing the aluminum piston.
thats what i suspect anyway.....to much powa
damn man, its been too long since i checked in over here! that sucks!
It does suck!!!!
Big Time in the Suckage Dept.
Are you going to stick with a 3.1 or go with more displacement on version 2.0? ;)
same old 3.1 put turbo parts on it and drive it.
nothing to exciting really.....
If you need anything HOLLLLLLLLA. I've got a few engines sitting around here. Don't forget that.
Will do my friend :icon_biggrin:
