Title: Remembrance Day and Veteran's Day November 11
Post by: Invasion1 on November 02, 2006, 10:15:30 PM
Well regardless of what its called....November 11

Canada and UK = Remembrance Day

USA = Veteran's Day

I bought my yearly $5 Poppy flower to wear on my jacket to show my resect to current and past Veterans today at the post office.

I was just wondering if you Yanks have a Poppy or something you wear for Veterans Day?

All of Canada has the Poppy Drive where you make a Donation and get a Poppy to wear but never heard if the USA has anything similar??  :icon_confused:

Anyway if your in Canada donate your pocket change and get a poppy and wear it with pride and honor untill Remembrance Day!!! other wise i will be forced to smack you!

Yes the US has the same thing...Thanks for reminding me. I'm gonna grab one when I'm leaving today. Some of my best friends are fighting in Iraq, and some of my closest family members fought in the wars. Everyone should support them. Past, present, and future.
