I just got done tuning my part throttle successfully, but I need help fixing the stalling.
ive noticed through several datalogs it does the same thing. when im comming to a stop, the INT drops and it stalls. the BLM doesnt change though, and its at 128 when it does this? when I first start the car it will idle forever if it stays parked.
I tried leaning it out in the low rpm ve table, but then it stalls more? maybe im leaning it out at too low of an rpm idk
heres a datalog

What is your "Engine Speed at idle vs Temp in Drive" set to? What have you done to the .bin so far and was this an issue before you started?
Do you have a stock cross-over? 02 sensor is good?
What .bin version (AZRC?) are you using to start your tune on?
I am not at the shop to be able to send you a good file to start with, but if you started with an original GM .bin that did not have the stall issues corrected, then you will have stalling issues when coming to a stop. The fixes are available easy enough, but I need a little more info to help.

975 RPM @ 44C and up, below 44 it is 1000, then goes up a little as temp goes down. it has been stalling for along time. it used to do it on my 3400/3.1 hybrid. I now have a full 3400 w/52k and it still stalls, leading me to believe its something in the chip.
I'm using the 5speed patched TGP chip. Then I lowered the FUEL BPC vs DESIRED EGR% since I have 30# injectors. changed the VE tables. changed the VSS settings so they are correct.
The crossover has no leaks. I have a brand new Denso heated o2 sensor
I could post my bin if you would like
5-speed patched TGP chip from who? If the proper operations are not set then you will have problems. Not to sound like a snobby ass...but if you got the chip from Mick, Jay (god910), or anyone else it is useless. Myself and TurboSedan are the only two people who have a properly setup chip for a 5-speed.
In your datalogging what speed are you reading compared to actual?
I got the bin file from mars. not sure who he got it from.
what do you mean by "what speed are you reading compared to actual"?
In your datalogger you should have a vehicle speed displayed. It helps you to correspond what you are calibrating compared to what the ECU sees.
Oh shit I forgot about Mars...but I do not know if he has everything I have now for the 5-speed.
if your asking about the VSS, it is calibrated. I took the road speed constant and divisor from my stock chip and put it in the tgp bin.
Right I understand, but what does the datalogger say your speed is?

Your INT is the short term fuel trim and the BLM is the long term fuel trim.I USUALLY tune by the INT.When your INT is starting to fall the BLM will try to correct it and keep it at or around 128.In your case the car is stalling before the BLM can compensate.Try finding the rpm and map where the car is stalling and change those values in the lower VE tables to pull fuel out. :icon_cool: Later..Adam

ok cool sounds like a plan
thats basically what ive been doing, except ive been leaning it out at like 800 & 1000 rpm
im going to try 1400 and 1800 rpm instead and hopefully that fixes it. ill post results

Right I understand, but what does the datalogger say your speed is?
in that datalog it said the vehicle speed was 8mph when it stalled
When you are driving at 40 what does your datalogger say?
When you are at 15 what does your datalogger say?
When you are at 5 what does your datalogger say?

all the speeds in the datalog match the speed im driving at
Really? hmmm...must be an error in the TunerPro RT then and datamaster has it correct.
Do you want me to send you a .bin to try? I will need to pull the performance areas out of it so you can tune it to your needs after.
Thought I'd chime in.
Did you get it to stop stallin' ?
I messed with it for HOURS and HOURS, finnally I brought the idle speed up to 975 and it's never stalled since. Sure it idles high, but that's OK with me. Weird that it's not working on your setup. Well, I have a different TB, among other things... maybe that's to blame.
How does it run in general?
Is your car out on the road presently or is it parked for winter?
Mine on 30 pounders runs just like stock, with twice the power, and a high idle... supercharger is MUCH easier to tune though.
mars,
I copied all the IAC settings from a stock tgp bin w / 5spd patch to that bin you sent me.
so the desired idle is 975 now. I messed with the set screw on the tb and managed to get it around 30 steps @ idle
im not sure if the stalling is 100% fixed, but I did manage to have it not stall twice on the last chip I made..
i've tuned the ve vs map & rpm table and its better at part throttle now
I got a WB02 log awhile back (for the one day the sensor lasted) lol.. and it was running like 9.xx AFR so I leaned it out a little but WOT still needs a little more tune
other than the stalling overall its been good, just had to tune the part throttle a bit and lean out the PE mode
If you are off boost you need to be at least 14.0 or leaner. As soon as you break over 4 psi you need to fatter her up. These cars LOVE 12.0-12.5:1 at WOT and full boost. If you are at 10:1 or richer at WOT you are losing about 30HP in quenched cylinder temps alone.
