i know they didn't put these transmissions in the TGP, but they did however put them in j-bodies (it's the 3-speed auto). i was just wondering if anyone on here knew anything about them. i think i might have to do a performance rebuild on it, since my car is gonna have way more power than stock. what is everyone recommendations for forged rebuild parts for it? thanks.
IIRC wasnt that transmission offered in fieros also? I'd check some of their forums. I gained some transmission insight on the 4T60 from their forums...here are some links:

hey thanks for the links man. yes they were used in the fieros as well. in fact, if i recall, a lot of people are doing the 350 conversions and leaving the TH125 in them, so i know there has to be a build-up kit somewhere for them.
The 125 can be built to handle a crazy amount of power. Problem is it is a 3 speed and you will spin the motor to 3800 RPM at 75mph. Not so good for highway use or fuel consumption.

Cool, thats good to know. Where is the rebuild kit for this trans at? I don't really care about fuel consumption, as this car is not my daily driver. I just want my trans to be able to hold some more power.
At one time, the fastest Fiero on record was running behind a TH125C. There is a shop (in Michigan I THINK) that specializes in building beefed up 3-speeds for Fieros. I can't remember the name of the shop anymore. But I know this because I was inquiring on strengthening this tranny, too, since it's what the 6000's used. I wanted to drop a TGP motor into one of my AWD's, which uses a modified TH125C, and everyone on the Fiero boards assured me I can get it to handle the power, and then some.

But what about the transfer case and your diffs?
According to several magazine articles, everything in the drivetrain but the transaxle was designed to handle 400 hp, because at the time, they had planned to launch a very similar AWD system for many platforms, including the f-body.
