I grew up in Northern New York (Lake George) and I can remember a few ice storms when I was younger. The most fun would be when there was 10" or so on the ground and then we would get 1/4" - 1/2" of ice on top of it. You could walk on top of the snow and if you were brave enough to get on a plastic sled you would be at MACH 1.2 by the time you hit the bottom of our hill!  :icon_eek:

Up until last week it's been warm. Like 60's!!! I guess winter is really here now.

Yea Master this is very unusually. Haven't been able to open my TGP door for three days even tho there is a cover on it. :icon_frown: Was afraid to break these flimsy handles.

The last time things were this bad was when I was in Austin, I think it was 94 or 95 we got hit with one of these ice storms. I had to send 200 people home at noon cause the Sheriff said get them out now or they will be stuck there. There were only something like 400 accidents in the Austin area in 24 hours. Watching TV was like watching a distruction derby. Funny as hell. I guess if your not used to it they can't drive in it or there too dumb to not stay off the roads.  :icon_rolleyes:

We didn't get anything compared to 50 miles north. It was plain lock down there.

And yea it's wired last week we had 70"s weather. Also it seemed like the Humble area always had less of the wheather than everybody else. It froze N, S, E, and W of us far more then we got it. Still we didn't go driving  just for safety sake. Although I did BBQ ribs last night in 31* weather. That a first for me.

Keep warm and safe.

We had a little bit of ice in the Southeast also, but it melted away quickly in the morning since it was a few degrees above freezing. The temps here are supposed to be in the mid 50's today along with it being "mostly sunny." :icon_mrgreen:
