at what point should i consider using a colder spark plug? i know the L67 guys go with colder plugs once they start modding (like going to Autolite 104s) but considering i'm probably putting down ~255whp & 360wtq should i consider going one step colder? and which AC Delco plug would be one step colder from the stock AC Delco R42LTS?

Deja Vu? Didn't you or someone else start a topic like this a while back...or either it was posted within another topic?
Anyways, I think the stock plugs are perfectly fine as they're equivalent to Autolite 103's that the L67 guys use(the 103's are three ranges colder than stock L67 plugs...Autolite 606's are stock stock, 605's 1 range colder, 104's two ranges, 103's three ranges colder).

yeah i was looking for that post and could not find it. i think it was in another thread about something else so i just posted a new thread. i guess i'll just stick with th R42LTS plugs then. i'm kinda tempted to put Autolite 605s in my stock L67 Regal. that's just surprising to me that the LG5 got plugs that are 3 heat ranges colder than the stock L67 plugs ecspecially considering the L67s M90 probably produces alot more heat at the same boost level then then the LG5s Garrett T25 turbo (not to mention it's intercooled).

Only if you want to make some serious power. When you get to that level try AR472's there pretty cold, took out a bunch of my knock counts.

Only if you want to make some serious power. When you get to that level try AR472's there pretty cold, took out a bunch of my knock counts.

cool thanks Jud. i am going to be scanning tonight to see what i am getting for knock counts although IIRC with my KAZ chip i don't get any actual KR unless knock counts go over 10. i never hear any pinging whatsoever so hopefully everything looks good.
