my car ran bad for about two weeks , it kind of hesitated at the start until the turbo kicked in , then finally it stalled. It would not start so I towed it home I changed the plugs, wires, dropped the fuel tank and changed the fuel pump and yes it is man hours  I talked with jeff m and he thought it might be my fuel pressure regulator so i tested and that was not it , does any one have any advice please
have you tried the injectors? I might be wrong..but I would check them.. i would also check the throttle body... just a few ideas... KCP
I have seen a dirty air filter not let a car start. Does your not start at all now?
I hate to hear that you put all the time and money into changing all that stuff...but look on the bright side...non of it hurt your car.
I would seriously check the injectors...my car was doing that shit recently and I pulled the upper intake and checked my injectors and found two that were bad. If it's not the injectors...all you are out is a $10 gasket set (I think that is how much it was) and some time (alot less than changing a fuel pump). The original injectors are about $80 a piece...but you can buy Accel from summit for less than $180 for 6. I'll let you know how my car performs when I get them in...they are on back order and are estimated to get here in about a month (sux)
some one please tell me , what do you use to get the second bolt from the right off of the plenum, it a long bolt and I can not get a socket on it because it is to close to the plenum....

Have you tried a wrench?
george E boy....if you have a socket you dont need i would try grinding it on a grinder smooth all around to thin it out..but dont take too much it might break the socket
stev
I tried a wrench , it is also to close to get all the open end around it...
I'm almost positive I got mine with a wrench... 10 mm right?

No its a 13 mm, the one the wastegate solenoid mounts to. If you really can't get to it, I would take a couple of the 10mm nuts from the other two studded plenum bolts and lock them ontop of the 13mm stud and then use a 10mm wrench or socket to remove it. It can get close to the manifold and cause you trouble getting it off. Becareful though, as there may be enough torque on the bolt to plenum it could twist off the stud. Don't put a 3ft bar on it trying to get it off, be gentle.
Sorry, I was thinking on the back of the plenum. I took the wastegate stud out with a Craftsman socket. Didn't have any clearance problems. Hmmm...
Try a twelve point socket...it might be thinner. If you don't have a twelve point 13mm then use a 1/2". Its basically the same size. You know...its kind of funny. I have my waste gate solenoid mounted to the dogbone. I bought my car in pieces and I had no idea where that thing mounted. Its hard to put something back together that you didn't take apart.
Anyway...if you have that much trouble getting that bolt out just put another one of the bolts with the 10mm head back in it and move the solenoid. I would really try the locking two nuts on the stud and getting it off that way. If you don't understand just reply or send me an e-mail.
might as well replace your oil pump drive seal while your at it. cost $2.00 at the dealer. It must be a known problem because the parts guy didn't even look it up when i asked he just went to the shelf and walllllahh!
Crank sensor or DIS Module, also if that doesn't work there is one more problem that I have found on 1 of my many TGP's that I prefer not to discuss here as it takes tooo much space to explain!
As for the bolt you are triing to remove, I use a 1/4" drive Craftsman 13mm Deepwell.
thanks alot , i got the car started this weekend , it was the fuel pump and the crank case sensor :P
