:icon_neutral:
Well everyone knows my situation last fall with the turbo CS :icon_rolleyes:
Anyway it looks like its sold April 20th weekend so i'm also out of the 3.1 turbo scene also..... :icon_sad: I can't bring myself to even look at it in the garage anymore, resentment for the most part as i spent SO much time on it and SO much on-line time researching what to do to it. enough is enough
I just feel in doing that i really put off more important things and more important people in my life to the point where it all came back in my face back in January and since i have had a hard time comming back from those events. getting rid of this car is part of moving on and its what i need right now.
One word of advise for all the new guys, make the car a PART of your life, NOT your life.......manage your time wisely because if you don't time will pass you buy quick and trust me its hard to make up for that in the long run.
So Its sold to someone on this forum who can announce themselves if they choose or not but no matter to me.
I got the RELIABLE ZR2 to mess around with and its my daily driver and i really love it so far...
Anyway thats where im comming from as of now but im not going anywhere so you will just HAVE to read posts about the Blazer as thats all i have to talk about automotive wise ;)
thanks for reading
Dave
Good luck with the Blazer David! I'm sure the person who is buying your car will make good use of it. ;)
I'm sorry Dave :( If I have one more major slip with my Ws, they'll both be gone. I know where you're coming from on the time thing.. I waste way too much of it researching and working on my POSes and not with the important things. I just keep telling myself that once the STE is registered and ready to be my DD, and the Cutlass is sold, that everything will be fine and I won't have to try and do this balancing act anymore. Cars are my passion but they can't be my life. Unless I'm restoring a Challenger or something ;) good luck with the Blazuh.
Well Dave you have been a welcome member and a HUGE asset to the TGP community for a long time now. I do understand what you are saying though. These cars can be a major life involvement and if not handled properly they can rip alot time from our hands.
It is too bad that there is not more interest with these cars to make them worth our time and effort. I have been asked NUMEROUS times to make performance parts and kits for these cars. The biggest problem is when the time comes for the kits to be sold people who wanted it "all of a sudden" do not have money anymore! :icon_rolleyes:
Anyway...I am sure in the next year or two you will be bitten by the V6 turbo bug once again and you will return. It is a sickness that draws people back faster than drugs! ;)
Hey Dave. It's a sad day indeed, but a good lesson learned. I'm glad you figured it out before things got way out of hand...
We're all sure going to miss you around here...unless of course you plan on staying an active, full-out mod on here? :icon_biggrin: Thank you for all the help you've given me and for the great chip...I'm still listing you on the sponsor board we discussed lol!
Hope to keep hearing from you, and if not...have a safe trip in life!
It will be the end of an era, but the start of another one. I hear the guy who bought it has a funny looking red beard.... :dunno:
oh i will still be around here guys....don't write me off just yet
ya the dude that bought the CS is one funny looking bastard indeed....
Well sorry to hear that Dave. You still going to stay on as Mod? Hope so.
Jud
another Turbo 5-speed Cutty gone (well...sorta :icon_wink: ) are you going to get a different project or mod the ZR2...or just get out of the modding business stuff completely?

One's gone, but one will be created ;)
Hey Dave I dont know what happened back in january but I hope everything works out for you pal.
I'm betting lady troubles
Hope you stick around Dave and maybe someday rejoin the ranks. I wish you well either way and hope that you are able to continue down the right path for you. :icon_cool:

Off topic, but I figured out what your project is!! Muahahaha! Sweet!
ya partly family and relationship problems but overall i neglected real life for to long and missed out on alot of things that were more important than a car build.
Modded the ZR2 a little bit already but nothing MAJOR and im gonna keep it that way for reliability sake..
i will get something else for a project down the road but not anytime soon
The Turbo Cutlass now resides in it's new home for the summer where it will be stripped for parts and then sent to car heaven. It will be a sad day when that happens as this is the car I wanted to model mine after.
I will be entering the 5 spd turbo world within a couple months and I can't wait! Look for updates every once in while once I start working on my car!
Kyle.......was my Sig logo included in the deal too?
haha
your welcome to it if you want...
so what's gonna be for sale? did the rims go with it?
EVERYTHING Dave had w-body related is now sitting in my back yard including rims. They will not be forsale. once I get everything figured out with what I'm using and what I'm not, at that point I will sell things....but it won't be much I can tell you that.
Igloo boy, what you really need to do is come take one of these damn TGP's out of my yard. ;)
No thanks Corn Boy, Im done for awhile with "projects"
for once my yard is pretty clean and property value is increased due to the lack of 90's GM cars that don't run.
Now you can fill it up with turbo dodges :icon_mrgreen:
