Ok i just orderd some Infinty speakers for my doors, 4x6 Plate. And i dont want to use that pathetic little aplifier that powers them, what i WANT to do is use my Alpine 3550 Series amp to power The rears and have the front dash and door speakers off the headunit. Is that possible? Like Just have the decks Front chanell on the dash speakers, and the rear deck chanell on the doors, then use the AV cables on the outputs of the Deck to the Amp, then run wires to the rear speakers? Iv never done anything stereo to a car with more than 4 speakers. My decks a Dual with one set of AV outputs.
Ok, I'm not a stereo expert but I know enough stuff. I have a guy I bring my stuff to (wired my subs, amps, deck, and all 6 speakers for me and tuned it all for $100), and what we did was run the back speakers off one amp, and the front 4 off the deck...so, yes, it can be done.
Sounds like what you have planned will work. You will just need to run wires from your deck to the doors for the 4x6's.
You will need to get the fading right as the dash speakers will be front chanel and doors will be back......will take little bit of time to play with but should be fine in the end
When I first wired my TGP long ago I used two amps. One amp was 4 channel to run the door speakers and dash, then the other amp was 2 channel to run the rear 6x9's.
howed u get the signal to both amps, most CD players only have one set of auxillary outputs.
LOL buy a deck with 2 sets? J/K :icon_wink:
Honestly not trying to be a dick
Ha, car audio is somewhat new to me, i know most of the concepts and everything, and how to wire up stereos and i know all the standard colors, but some things like amps and subs i have no clue
