Title: Rim sizing help
Post by: grinders_18 on April 30, 2007, 02:09:04 AM
Ok, heads up: I have ZERO idea how this works. All I know is wheel goes on, and wheels go round lol. So...my friend has a set of rims that are 17" 5x114.3 bolt pattern +45mm offset...I love these rims, and was considering them for a set of summer rims. Can anyone tell me if these would fit, or would they rub, be too big, etc? Would I need spacers? If so, what size? Any idea what size tire i would need mounted in order to bring it to the same tire size I'm on now? I'm running 245/50/16 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's.

As I said, I have ZERO clue how to work the tire equations lol, so any help is appreciated! I have checked into it, I saw the rim space chart on another post, but it's all greek to me...especially this late lol.

you'd need longer studs and hubcentic spacers that are 20mm thick
